TIMESTAMPS ARE IRRITATING AS HELL WHEN DEBUGGING! NGGGH!!
switched default to False, i expect someone to revert this very soon [for
security reasons],
but for now am doing this so i don't get exasperated by seeing stupid
timestamps splitting up debug output.
