2011-10-11lib/param: fix typo _SAMBA_BUILD => _SAMBA_BUILD_ causing segfaultsStefan Metzmacher1-1/+1
If lpcfg_dns_update_command() returns NULL 'samba' segfaults on startup. metze Autobuild-User: Stefan Metzmacher <metze@samba.org> Autobuild-Date: Tue Oct 11 17:25:19 CEST 2011 on sn-devel-104
2011-10-11ldb:ldb_autotransaction_request - error string shouldn't be set hereMatthias Dieter Wallnöfer1-5/+0
A generic error string should be set independently of the access mechanism to an LDB operation. Hence it should be handled in "ldb_wait" and "ldb_request" Signed-off-by: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org> Autobuild-User: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org> Autobuild-Date: Tue Oct 11 10:15:18 CEST 2011 on sn-devel-104
2011-10-11ldb:pyldb.c - py_ldb_* modification calls - error string shouldn't be set hereMatthias Dieter Wallnöfer1-17/+1
As discussed with Jelmer, we shouldn't be setting a generic LDB error string only for the Python bindings alone. This should be done in "ldb_request" and "ldb_wait" - the common place for all possible LDB access mechanisms. Signed-off-by: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org>

2011-10-11lib/param Avoid dyn_ defines that are not provided by the autoconf buildAndrew Bartlett1-3/+5
The autoconf build will never use these parameters or load the smb.conf with these defaults, so the defaults are not important. Andrew Bartlett

2011-10-11libcli/smb Move CSC_POLICY_* definition to smb_constants.hAndrew Bartlett1-6/+0
This removes the duplicate definition between smb.h and lib/param/loadparm.c which in turn allows this file to be compiled with the s3 includes.h Andrew Bartlett
2011-10-11lib/param move source4 param code to the top levelAndrew Bartlett6-0/+4652
This is done so that the lpcfg_ functions are available across the whole build, either with the struct loadparm_context loaded from an smb.conf directly or as a wrapper around the source3 param code. This is not the final, merged loadparm, but simply one step to make it easier to solve other problems while we make our slow progress on this difficult problem. Andrew Bartlett

2011-10-07Revert "ldb: support raw OIDs in control string parsing"Stefan Metzmacher2-19/+0
This reverts commit ea41860d32d38448e08cefd79d30ee1150317a9e. This is not needed, because we already have the 'local_oid' magic. metze

2011-10-07build: Reduce build systems to just top level waf and autoconfAndrew Bartlett1-7/+6
The s3-waf build system is a key component of the top level build, but with this commit is is no longer available directly. This reduces the number of build system combinations in master as we prepare for the Samba 4.0 release. Andrew Bartlett

2011-09-21tdb2: change --enable-tdb2-breaks-compat to --enable-tdb2Rusty Russell1-2/+2

2011-09-21tdb_compat: add "TDB_COMPAT_USE_TDB2" environment variableRusty Russell1-0/+4
When BUILD_TDB2 is defined, add TDB_VERSION1 flag to all tdb_open() calls, unless this flag is set. This means we use the tdb1 on-disk format unless the user specifically asks for tdb2. We'd love to do this using loadparm, but we need to work with both Samba 3 and Samba 4's loadparm, and they're not unified yet. Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
2011-09-21tdb_compat: honour hashsize arg when using tdb2 with TDB_VERSION1 flag.Rusty Russell2-3/+10
We use the TDB_ATTRIBUTE_TDB1_HASHSIZE to set the hash size. Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
2011-09-21tdb_compat: handle TDB_VOLATILE flag.Rusty Russell2-2/+12
This is only meaningful when using the TDB_VERSION1 flag: we set the attribute to control the maximum number of dead records (to 5, which is what TDB_VOLATILE did for tdb1). Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
2011-09-21tdb_compat: handle TDB_INCOMPATIBLE_HASH flag.Rusty Russell2-2/+12
This is only meaningful when using the TDB_VERSION1 flag: it is done by using a magic hash value (which will fall back to the default hash if that works instead). Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
2011-09-20tdb2: allow readonly changes even while holding locks.Rusty Russell1-10/+0
This happens in SAMBA with the TDB_VERSION1, presumably due to a read-only traverse nested inside a normal traverse (since it doesn't occur without TDB_VERSION1). 2011-09-20lib/util/charset: remove charset module loadingAndrew Bartlett9-172/+105
Now that the 'table' modules are gone, there is no reason for there to be charset modules at all. This builds the macosxfs and weird modules into the binary at the appropriate times, and changes the tests to test instead the difference between the remaining internal handlers and iconv().
