2007-10-10r2133: Several fixes:Gerald Carter2-3/+4
* BUG 1627: fix for NIS compiles on HPUX 11.00, AIX 4.3 and 5.1 patch from Olaf Flebbe <o.flebbe@science-computing.de>. Will need to watch this one in the build farm. * Fix bug found by rwf@loonybin.net where the PRINT_ATTRIBUTE_PUBLISHED was getting reset by attempts to sanitize the defined attributes (PRINTER_ATTRIBUTE_SAMBA) * Resolve name conflict on DEC OSF-5.1 (inspired by patch from Adharsh Praveen <rprav@india.hp.com>) * Work around parsing error in the print change notify code (not that the alignment bug is still there but reording the entries in the array works around it). * remove duplicate declaration of getprintprocdir from rpcclient. (This used to be commit 7474c6a446037f3ca2546cb6984d800bfc524029)
2007-10-10r2114: Shameless theft of iconv commit from Samba4 to keep the two libs more ↵Jeremy Allison2-8/+7
in sync :-). try to cope with a wider range of UTF-16 characters when we are using an external libiconv library. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 5d04cd6804f6fc3b556e7c3b53fa0d7af39797c1)
2007-10-10r2076: Removed old dir caching code - not being used now we have theJeremy Allison1-1/+0
statcache anyway. New dir caching will be done on nanosecond timestamps. Jeremy. (This used to be commit ba473a580245430009245a4c8b8dcaf9fc4b6406)
2007-10-10r2073: Adding getprinter level 7 to rpcclient.Günther Deschner1-0/+1
Is there any other rpc-call to get the guid of a published printer? Guenther (This used to be commit 944ad569c7a88e1d2f14311eed10f80ea9861963)
2007-10-10r2026: Simplify statcache to use an in-memory tdb. Modify tdb to useJeremy Allison2-75/+0
a customer hash function for this tdb (yes it does make a difference on benchmarks). Remove the no longer used hash.c code. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 3fbadac85b8cad89b93d295968e99c38c8677575)
2007-10-10r2007: Fix typo in Jeremy's copyright. From the output of cvs annotate a yearTim Potter1-1/+1
in the late 1990's may be more appropriate though. (This used to be commit 4c881b7a9e40307710ec860375985dc2145f2dd8)

2007-10-10r1810: Patch from Richard Renard <rrenard@idealx.com> to storeJeremy Allison1-0/+1
logon hours attributes in an LDAP database. Jeremy. (This used to be commit dac72638fb3a05e805136698e0ad0612620ac8af)

2007-10-10r1661: Changed the password history format so that each history entryJeremy Allison1-0/+5
consists of a 16 byte salt, followed by the 16 byte MD5 hash of the concatination of the salt plus the NThash of the historical password. Allows these to be exposed in LDAP without security issues. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 82e4036aaa2d283534a5bd8149857320fcf0d0dc)
2007-10-10r1588: This is one of the more pathetic patches I ever checked in. Many hours ofVolker Lendecke1-1/+1
coding have passed, but I could not find a way to get the OpenLDAP libraries to reliably time out on any of the queries we make, *and* get correct error returns. No, async calls and ldap_result does NOT work, or I was simply too stupid to correctly interpret the OpenLDAP manpage and source. We can not allow to hang indefinitely in an ldap query, especially not for winbindd. "ldap timeout" now specifies the overall timeout for the complete operation, that's why I increased that to 15 seconds. Volker (This used to be commit 269f0750872e5f8757e0a9667e007a0410319fcd)
2007-10-10r1570: merging changes from 3.0.5Gerald Carter1-1/+1

2007-10-10r1412: Fix password history list in tdbsam. Fix some memory leaks. AddJeremy Allison1-60/+50
my (C) to a header file that was at least 50% mine :-). Jeremy. (This used to be commit 8ee6060977ec8e65082f3ad09e1e1ccf5b4672ed)
2007-10-10r1388: Adding password history code for ldap backend, based on a patch fromJeremy Allison2-5/+8
"Jianliang Lu" <j.lu@tiesse.com>. Multi-string attribute changed to linearised pstring due to ordering issues. A few other changes to fix race conditions. I will add the tdb backend code next. This code compiles but has not yet been tested with password history policy set to greater than zero. Targeted for 3.0.6. Jeremy. (This used to be commit dd54b2a3c45e202e504ad69d170eb798da4e6fc9)

2007-10-10r1154: Change default setting for case sensitivity to "auto". If set to autoJeremy Allison2-1/+3
then is the client supports it (current clients supported are Samba and CIFSVFS - detected by the negprot strings "Samba", "POSIX 2" and a bare "NT LM 0.12" string) then the setting of the per packet flag smb_flag FLAG_CASELESS_PATHNAMES is taken into account per packet. This allows the linux CIFS client to use Samba in a case sensitive manner. Additional command in smbclient "case_sensitive", toggles the flag in subsequent packets. Docs to follow. Jeremy. (This used to be commit cf84c0fe1a061acc0313f7db124b8f947cdf623d)

2007-10-10r1085: Now it's had some proper user testing, merge in the deferred open ↵Jeremy Allison2-19/+46

2007-10-10r991: Allow winbindd to use the domain trust account passwordGerald Carter2-8/+37

2004-04-03Fix most of bug #169.Andrew Bartlett1-22/+2
For a (very) long time, we have had a bug in Samba were an NTLMv2-only PDC would fail, because it converted the password into NTLM format for checking. This patch performs the direct comparison required for interactive logons to function in this situation. It also removes the 'auth flags', which simply where not ever used. Natrually, this plays with the size of structures, so rebuild, rebuild rebuild... Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 9598593bcf2d877b1d08cd6a7323ee0bc160d4ba)
