The upgrade is required because of the followin TDBSAM_VERSION upgrade. metze
2008-12-29s3:passdb: make marshalling struct samu from and to a buffer more genericStefan Metzmacher2-3/+10
This marshalling isn't specific to tdbsam and it's ugly to have the related functions in two different files. metze

2008-12-19Pass "bytes_alignment" up through cli_request_sendVolker Lendecke1-0/+1
This parameter makes smb_spice_chain add padding before the bytes field

2008-12-16commit b520befe6f51644d20434add9864d7a2fa30aa2eSATOH Fumiyasu1-6/+7
Author: SATOH Fumiyasu <fumiyas@osstech.co.jp> Date: Wed Dec 17 00:42:25 2008 +0900 libsmbclient: Fix SIGBUS on non-x86 CPUs We must align the struct smbc_dirent in the struct SMBC_internal_data because the struct smbc_dirent has numeric values that require alignment. 2008-12-14Remove the global "cmdline_auth_info" from source3/lib/util.cVolker Lendecke1-17/+24
This involves changing all our clients, that's why it's so large.
2008-12-14Move 128 bytes from the data to the text segmentVolker Lendecke1-1/+1
2008-12-13s3:libsmb/namequery.c: add saf_join_store() functionStefan Metzmacher1-0/+1
saf_join_store() should be called after a successful domain join, the affinity to the dc used at join time has a larger ttl, to avoid problems with delayed replication. metze Signed-off-by: Stefan Metzmacher <metze@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Günther Deschner <gd@samba.org> (cherry picked from commit 80e74a27c55c01221091e3eec930c2ac4433c22c)
2008-12-13s3: correctly detect if the current dc is the closest oneStefan Metzmacher1-1/+0
ads->config.tried_closest_dc was never set. metze Signed-off-by: Stefan Metzmacher <metze@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Günther Deschner <gd@samba.org> (cherry picked from commit dfe5b00db35e1e7c7bb3ba36729fc3f97eb48db3)

2008-12-10Revert "Fix the build"Volker Lendecke1-4/+0
This reverts commit c044b09572631cbdd686e5dbbdfbcc731145533a.
2008-12-10Fix the buildVolker Lendecke1-0/+4
Crap, too many trees and no instant, infinitely fast rebuild
2008-12-10Pass the get_real_filename operation through the VFSVolker Lendecke2-0/+11
This is done to help file systems that can tell us about the real upper/lower case combination given a case-insensitive file name. The sample I will soon push is the gpfs module (recent gpfs has a get_real_filename function), others might have a similar function to help alleviate the 1million files in a single directory problem. Jeremy, please comment! Thanks, Volker

2008-12-09s3: [3/3]: Fix a delete on close divergence from windows and the associated ↵Tim Prouty2-4/+1
torture test This third patch cleans up by removing all of the code that is made obsolete by the first patch. It should cause no functional changes.
2008-12-09s3: Refactor calculating path from relative_fid into a separate functionTim Prouty1-0/+4
2008-12-09s3: Refactor getting sec_info from a security_descriptor into separate functionTim Prouty1-0/+1
2008-12-09s3: Make a few open utility functions non-staticTim Prouty1-0/+32
This allows vfs modules that implement SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE to access some of the useful utility functions.
2008-12-08s3: Add support for access based share enumerationTodd Stecher1-0/+1
2008-12-08Simplify async programming a bit with helper routinesVolker Lendecke1-0/+4
Introduce async_req_is_error() and async_req_simple_recv()
2008-12-08Streamline the async_sock API a bitVolker Lendecke1-9/+13
2008-12-08Add a "bytes_padding" parameter to smb_splice_chainVolker Lendecke1-0/+1
For example open&x and write&x needs the bytes to be aligned relative to the SMB header. In particular for write&x we should not have to move stuff around.
2008-12-08Factor out smb_splice_chain(), to be used by chain_reply() in smbdVolker Lendecke1-0/+3
2008-12-05Fix lp_socket_address() prototype.Jeremy Allison1-1/+1

2008-12-04Fix bug #1254 - write list not working under share-level securityJeremy Allison1-3/+3
A somewhat more elegant fix than I could use for 3.2.x or 3.0.x. Turns out the only part of check_user_ok() that needs to change for share level security is the VUID cache pieces, so I can just always use check_user_ok() for all lp_security() cases. Jeremy
2008-12-03s3: Change SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE to take a create_file_flags argumentTim Prouty4-5/+10
This replaces the is_dos_path bool with a more future-proof argument. The next step is to plumb INTERNAL_OPEN_ONLY through this flag instead of overridding the oplock_request.
2008-12-03s3: Simplify the create_file_unix_path->open_file_ntcreate pathTim Prouty1-24/+0
Also removed open_file_ntcreate/open_file from proto.h so they can no longer be called directly.
2008-12-03s3: Modify direct callers of create_file_unix_path to call SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILETim Prouty1-16/+0
2008-12-03s3: Add new "is_dos_path" argument to SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILETim Prouty3-3/+5
Now unix paths can be differentiated from windows paths so the underlying create_file implementations can convert paths correctly.
2008-12-03s3: Add SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE to the vfs layerTim Prouty3-17/+41
Modify all callers of create_file to go through SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE
