2011-05-31s3-globals Remove smbd_event_context() (use server_event_context())Andrew Bartlett1-5/+0
This has been a wrapper around server_event_context() for some time now, and removing this from dummmysmbd.c assists with library dependencies. Andrew Bartlett
2011-05-31s3-param split service.c into param and smbd componentsAndrew Bartlett1-11/+0
The dependency chain of find_service can't be satisfied sensibly outside smbd, so don't include this in the main 'param' subsystem. Also remove the duplicate find_service() and conn_snum_used() from dummysmbd.c: The WAF build does not need these dummies any more, but file. Andrew Bartlett
2011-05-31s3-smbd provide struct smbd_server_connection * to conn_snum_usedAndrew Bartlett1-1/+2
This provides the 'sconn' parameter to this key functions, that is currently duplicated in dummysmbd.c, which causes duplicate symbol issues in the waf build. This has natrually caused a number of consequential changes across the codebase, includning not passing a messaging context into initial reload_services(): This causes problems because the global smbd_server_connection isn't yet set up, as there isn't a connection here, just the initial process. 2010-08-29s3: Remove smbd_server_fd()Volker Lendecke1-5/+0
This breaks the perfcol_onefs() build. Tim, Steve, this use of smbd_server_fd is replacable by calls into substitute.c. I don't have a onefs environment around to build a fix, so I've decided to insert an #error, making it not compile. The fix should be pretty obvious, you can get the socket data via "%I" and "%i" substitutions.

2009-02-09s3 oplocks: Make the level2 oplock contention API more granularTim Prouty1-0/+19
This replaces release_level2_oplocks_on_change with contend_level2_oplock_begin/end in order to contend level2 oplocks throughout an operation rather than just at the begining. This is necessary for some kernel oplock implementations, and also lays the groundwork for better correctness in Samba's standard level2 oplock handling. The next step for non-kernel oplocks is to add additional state to the share mode lock struct that prevents any new opens from granting oplocks while a contending operation is in progress. All operations that contend level 2 oplocks are now correctly spanned except for aio and synchronous writes. The two write paths both have non-trivial error paths that need extra care to get right. RAW-OPLOCK and the rest of 'make test' are still passing with this change.
2008-10-03Simply our main loop processing. A lot :-). Correctly use events for all the ↵Jeremy Allison1-0/+15

2008-01-04Refactor the crypto code after a very helpful conversationJeremy Allison1-21/+0

2007-10-10r21882: The server part of the code has to use an AUTH_NTLMSSP struct,Jeremy Allison1-0/+15
not just an NTLMSSP - grr. This complicates the re-use of common client and server code but I think I've got it right. Not turned on of valgrinded yet, but you can see it start to take shape ! Jeremy. (This used to be commit 60fc9c0aedf42dcd9df2ef9f1df07eaf3bca9bce)

Allow us to correctly refuse to set delete on close on a non-empty directory. There are still some delete-on-close wrinkles to be fixed, but I understand how to do that better now. I'll fix this tomorrow. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 029635885825a5562e7974a6f5675cce3bf1b5dc)
2007-10-10r17569: Make 'max smbd processes' more robust. Counting on the child to ↵Volker Lendecke1-5/+0
decrement a tdb entry is not the most reliable way to count children correctly. This increments the number of children after a fork and decrements it upon SIGCLD. I'm keeping a list of children just for consistency checks, so that we at least get a debug level 0 message if something goes wrong. 2007-10-10r17098: Samba3 now cleanly passes Samba4 RAW-LOCK tortureJeremy Allison1-0/+4
test. Phew - that was painful :-). But what it means is that we now implement lock cancels and I can add lock cancels into POSIX lock handling which will fix the fast/slow system call issue with cifsfs ! Jeremy. (This used to be commit f1a9cf075b87c76c032d19da0168424c90f6cb3c)

* remove corrupt tdb and shutdown (only for printing tdbs, connections, sessionid & locking) * decrement smbd counter in connections.tdb in smb_panic() * various Makefile hack to get things to link 'max smbd processes' looks like it might be broken.
