Windows 7 looks at the negotiate_flags returned in this structure *even if the call fails with access denied ! So in order to allow Win7 to connect to a Samba NT style PDC we set the flags before we know if it's an error or not. Jeremy.

This is in preparation of removing p->vuid completely. I don't think this check here makes any sort of sense, it only proves that the user having done the session setup on its way to the schannel bind (ususally anonymous) did not do a logoff in between. to struct sockaddr_storage in most places that matter (ie. not the nmbd and NetBIOS lookups). This passes make test on an IPv4 box, but I'll have to do more work/testing on IPv6 enabled boxes. This should now give us a framework for testing and finishing the IPv6 migration. It's at the state where someone with a working IPv6 setup should (theorecically) be able to type : smbclient //ipv6-address/share and have it work. Jeremy.
