2003-01-02BIG patch...Andrew Bartlett1-1/+1
This patch makes Samba compile cleanly with -Wwrite-strings. - That is, all string literals are marked as 'const'. These strings are always read only, this just marks them as such for passing to other functions. What is most supprising is that I didn't need to change more than a few lines of code (all in 'net', which got a small cleanup of net.h and extern variables). The rest is just adding a lot of 'const'. As far as I can tell, I have not added any new warnings - apart from making all of tdbutil.c's function const (so they warn for adding that const string to struct). Not sure what these different contexts are called or what they are used for. - if a rid is specified to samquerysecobj then use the sam user policy handle for that rid - if -d is specified then use the sam domain policy handle - otherwise just use the sam connect policy handle JF, any ideas about this? back to working order. The main change is that the cli_*() RPC functions from libsmb/*.c now should accept a struct cli_state*. The reason for this is that rpcclient should establish the connection to the server at startup so that it is not necessary to keep the clear test or password hash in memory for each command. enumports and enumprinters now works as well. lsa* functions have been tested.
