code paths ncreate does. This is a bit slower (about 10-20%), because it goes touches the share mode db, but I think not having to call change_owner_to_parent and friends in fewer places outweighs this. And, mkdir is not the way current Windows boxes create directories, they do it via the ncreate call. Volker (This used to be commit ddae494fbe36e4a74776f71c212b00cce61fbf81)

2007-10-10r20098: Properly fix issues with create_token_from_username()Jeremy Allison2-42/+17
reported by James. Ensure that this function allocates everything on the temporary context except the return memory. Never call this with a null mem context, and now use conn->mem_ctx instead in smbd/service.c. Remove separate free functions for conn->ngroups and conn->nt_user_token as they are now always talloc'ed off the conn->mem_ctx. Future optimization will be to remove conn->mem_ctx and make all objects pointed to in the conn struct talloc'ed off conn itself. Easy to free then :-). Jeremy. we never mix malloc and talloc'ed contexts in the add_XX_to_array() and add_XX_to_array_unique() calls. Ensure that these calls always return False on out of memory, True otherwise and always check them. Ensure that the relevent parts of the conn struct and the nt_user_tokens are TALLOC_DESTROYED not SAFE_FREE'd. James - this should fix your crash bug in both branches. Jeremy. 2007-10-10r19991: Sorry for this 2000-liner...Volker Lendecke1-6/+5
The main thing here is a rewrite of srv_winreg_nt.c. The core functionality has moved to registry/reg_api.c which is then usable by the rest of Samba as well. On that way it fixes creating keys with more than one element in the path. This did not work before. Two things that sneaked in (sorry :-) is the change of some routines from NTSTATUS to WERROR the removed "parent" argument to regkey_open_internal. Volker (This used to be commit fea52801de8c7b85c578d200c599475680c5339f)

2007-10-10r19058: Implement "user cannot change password", and complete "user must changeJim McDonough1-26/+19
password at next logon" code. The "password last set time" of zero now means "user must change password", because that's how windows seems to use it. The "can change" and "must change" times are now calculated based on the "last set" time and policies. We use the "can change" field now to indicate that a user cannot change a password by putting MAX_TIME_T in it (so long as "last set" time isn't zero). Based on this, we set the password-can-change bit in the faked secdesc. (This used to be commit 21abbeaee9b7f7cff1d34d048463c30cda44a2e3)
2007-10-10r19010: Fix bug 4137Volker Lendecke1-0/+4

this was not done in the 3_0 tree. Volker (This used to be commit b2fbf5ac0ca38577957e8e7ddb176dd3499de213)
2007-10-10r18907: W00t. My original fix was correct after all :-).Jeremy Allison1-1/+1
Re-checking it in. Fix bug #4095 - username composed into domain\user twice in spnego path. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 0c770467519e73897462e730c3226e65668d3890)
2007-10-10r18802: Use the pidl-generated code for the srvsvc interface, both client ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
and server code. This has had some basic testing. I'll do more during the next couple of days and hopefully also make RPC-SRVSVC from Samba4 pass against it. (This used to be commit ef10672399c4b82700dc431b4d93431ffdd42d98)
2007-10-10r18793: Fix BE string handling in the auto-generatedJeremy Allison1-1/+1
code. Should now work again with ASU. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 53e97bf92817b6cfc3f93c999a81ef8ad49a1609)
2007-10-10r18789: Replace the winreg server code with the libndr parsing code.Gerald Carter1-0/+1
Many things work (OpenHKLM, etc...) but some still don't. This shouldn't block anyone so I'm checking it in. Will probably move to a bzr tree after this for longer dev cycles between checkins. (This used to be commit cf1404a0d7538288b9370ba80df328f81b713ce0)
2007-10-10r18787: Fix the strlen_m and strlen_m_term code by mergingJeremy Allison2-4/+34
in (and using elsewhere) next_codepoint from Samba4. Jerry please test. Jeremy. (This used to be commit ece00b70a4621633f1ac9e576c4bbe332031de09)
2007-10-10r18773: Change negprot_spnego to return a blobVolker Lendecke1-10/+12

2007-10-10r18772: Now that we don't have a one-byte keylength in the extended security ↵Volker Lendecke1-4/+0
case anymore, we don't have to truncate the length to 255 anymore. The test I did for this: I sent 50 times the NTLMSSP oid. With truncating Vista said Access Denied, without truncating it liked the response. Volker (This used to be commit f1512cb43c69338d4f2cb806486c4f5db51cf695)
2007-10-10r18771: Sequel to r18761: If we always set the keylen to 0 there's no point ↵Volker Lendecke1-6/+3
in passing a pointer down to negprot_spnego(). Volker (This used to be commit 18f47130b1ccf09873ca684ee0ea986e28f47d78)
2007-10-10r18761: Even if only offering NTLMSSP Windows (tested with Vista & XP) sends ↵Volker Lendecke1-5/+2
0 as the key length in the case of extended security. It does make sense because with SPNEGO our beloved ASN1 structure gives us the length. Next test I did to verify this: I modified the server to put in random garbage, and W2kwks, XP, Vista and W2k3srv still talked to us. Volker (This used to be commit f19bd479cee57f064f63659c533ae108885d54a2)
2007-10-10r18760: Fix typos, remove unneeded codeVolker Lendecke1-10/+2
