2008-12-03s3: Change sockaddr util function names for consistencyTim Prouty1-2/+2
Also eliminates name conflicts with OneFS system libraries
2008-10-14Use {u,}int64_t instead of SMB_BIG_{U,}INT.Jelmer Vernooij1-3/+3
2007-12-10Remove the char[1024] strings from dynconfig. ReplaceJeremy Allison1-1/+1
them with malloc'ing accessor functions. Should save a lot of static space :-). Jeremy. (This used to be commit 52dc5eaef2106015b3a8b659e818bdb15ad94b05)
2007-12-04The usual !pstring...Jeremy Allison1-4/+6
Jeremy. (This used to be commit b676262a781363e7be49b21817668a53cca75c2d)
2007-10-27Change all occurrences of zero_addr(&ss,AF_INET) toJeremy Allison1-2/+2
zero_addr(&ss). All current uses were always of the AF_INET form, so simplify the call. If in the future we need to zero an addr to AF_INET6 this can be done separately. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 2e92418a138bf2738b77b7e0fcb2fa37ad84fc0c)
2007-10-24This is a large patch (sorry). Migrate from struct in_addrJeremy Allison1-5/+5
to struct sockaddr_storage in most places that matter (ie. not the nmbd and NetBIOS lookups). This passes make test on an IPv4 box, but I'll have to do more work/testing on IPv6 enabled boxes. This should now give us a framework for testing and finishing the IPv6 migration. It's at the state where someone with a working IPv6 setup should (theorecically) be able to type : smbclient //ipv6-address/share and have it work. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 98e154c3125d5732c37a72d74b0eb5cd7b6155fd)
2007-10-18RIP BOOL. Convert BOOL -> bool. I found a few interestingJeremy Allison1-9/+9
bugs in various places whilst doing this (places that assumed BOOL == int). I also need to fix the Samba4 pidl generation (next checkin). Jeremy. (This used to be commit f35a266b3cbb3e5fa6a86be60f34fe340a3ca71f)
2007-10-10Add start of IPv6 implementation. Currently most of this is avoidingJeremy Allison1-2/+2
IPv6 in winbindd, but moves most of the socket functions that were wrongly in lib/util.c into lib/util_sock.c and provides generic IPv4/6 independent versions of most things. Still lots of work to do, but now I can see how I'll fix the access check code. Nasty part that remains is the name resolution code which is used to returning arrays of in_addr structs. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 3f6bd0e1ec5cc6670f3d08f76fc2cd94c9cd1a08)
2007-10-10r25055: Add file_id_string_tosVolker Lendecke1-1/+1

2007-10-10r23784: use the GPLv3 boilerplate as recommended by the FSF and the license textAndrew Tridgell1-2/+1
(This used to be commit b0132e94fc5fef936aa766fb99a306b3628e9f07)
2007-10-10r23779: Change from v2 or later to v3 or later.Jeremy Allison1-1/+1

2007-10-10r23183: Check in a change made by Tridge:Volker Lendecke1-4/+3
This replaces the internal explicit dev/ino file id representation by a "struct file_id". This is necessary as cluster file systems and NFS don't necessarily assign the same device number to the shared file system. With this structure in place we can now easily add different schemes to map a file to a unique 64-bit device node. Jeremy, you might note that I did not change the external interface of smb_share_modes.c. Volker (This used to be commit 9b10dbbd5de8813fc15ebbb6be9b18010ffe8139)
2007-10-10r22736: Start to merge the low-hanging fruit from the now 7000-line cluster ↵Volker Lendecke1-1/+1
patch. This changes "struct process_id" to "struct server_id", keeping both is just too much hassle. No functional change (I hope ;-)) Volker (This used to be commit 0ad4b1226c9d91b72136310d3bbb640d2c5d67b8)

lp_load() could not be called multiple times to modify parameter settings based on reading from multiple configuration settings. Each time, it initialized all of the settings back to their defaults before reading the specified configuration file. This patch adds a parameter to lp_load() specifying whether the settings should be initialized. It does, however, still force the settings to be initialized the first time, even if the request was to not initialize them. (Not doing so could wreak havoc due to uninitialized values.) (This used to be commit f2a24de769d1b2266e576597c57a8e3b1e2a2b51)

2001-09-10replaced stdio in many parts of samba with a XFILE. XFILE is a cut-downAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
replacemnt of stdio that doesn't suffer from the 8-bit filedescriptor limit that we hit with nasty consequences on some systems I would eventually prefer us to have a configure test to see if we need to replace stdio, but for now this code needs to be tested widely so I'm enabling it by default. (This used to be commit 1af8bf34f1caa3e7ec312d8109c07d32a945a448)
2001-08-27converted smbd to use NTSTATUS by defaultAndrew Tridgell1-27/+75
major changes include: - added NSTATUS type - added automatic mapping between dos and nt error codes - changed all ERROR() calls to ERROR_DOS() and many to ERROR_NT() these calls auto-translate to the client error code system - got rid of the cached error code and the writebmpx code We eventually will need to also: - get rid of BOOL, so we don't lose error info - replace all ERROR_DOS() calls with ERROR_NT() calls but that is too much for one night (This used to be commit 83d9896c1ea8be796192b51a4678c2a3b87f7518)
