The patch and detailed changelog is available at: http://www.itcollege.ee/~aandreim/samba This is a list of changes in general: 1. When creating machine account do not fail if SD cannot be changed. setting SD is not mandatory and join will work perfectly without it. 2. Implement KPASSWD CHANGEPW protocol for changing trust password so machine account does not need to have reset password right for itself. 3. Command line utilities no longer interfere with user's existing kerberos ticket cache. 4. Command line utilities can do kerberos authentication even if username is specified (-U). Initial TGT will be requested in this case. I've modified the patch to share the kinit code, rather than copying it, and updated it to current CVS. major changes include: - added NSTATUS type - added automatic mapping between dos and nt error codes - changed all ERROR() calls to ERROR_DOS() and many to ERROR_NT() these calls auto-translate to the client error code system - got rid of the cached error code and the writebmpx code We eventually will need to also: - get rid of BOOL, so we don't lose error info - replace all ERROR_DOS() calls with ERROR_NT() calls but that is too much for one night (This used to be commit 83d9896c1ea8be796192b51a4678c2a3b87f7518)

This commit gets rid of all our old codepage handling and replaces it with iconv. All internal strings in Samba are now in "unix" charset, which may be multi-byte.
