2002-01-03Update the NT_STATUS -> DOS error table.Andrew Bartlett1-3/+3
This new table is rather different to the old one (see diff posted to the list for a sorted list of differences) and needs a *lot* of testing. It does however seem to line up much better with what NT is using, as exampled by the change to the OBJECT_NAME_COLLISION DOS error, it now matches win2k where it didn't before. I can't see any critical errors we now get wrong, and I know that the auth errors are correct as per my on-the-wire observations. This table was produced (and I hope to comment this better later) by using the ERRMAPEXTRACT smbtorture tool, a Win2k domain member and the 'name_to_ntstatus' auth module on the HEAD PDC. This module returned the username as the error, and the NT box was forced to give me a dos error becouse thats all I negotiated on that connection. Hence the map. for unicode strings. The new method relies on 3 files that are mmap'd at startup to provide the mapping tables. The upcase.dat and lowcase.dat tables should be the same on all systems. The valid.dat table says what characters are valid in 8.3 names, and differs between systems. I'm committing the japanese valid.dat here, in future we need some way of automatically installing and choosing a appropriate table. This commit also adds my mini tdb based gettext replacement in intl/lang_tdb.c. I have not enabled this yet and have not removed the old gettext code as the new code is still being looked at by Monyo. Right now the code assumes that the upcase.dat, lowcase.dat and valid.dat files are installed in the Samba lib directory. That is not a good choice, but I'll leave them there until we work out the new install directory structure for Samba 3.0. simo - please look at the isvalid_w() function and think about using it in your new mangling code. This takes a *long* time to run against a Samba server due to the case insensitive comparisons in the filesystem. That makes it a N^2 operation, and N is 64k. It is linear on NT.
