2011-03-22s3-fault: removed the cont_fn from fault_setup()Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
cont_fn() was supposed to be a way to continue after a seg fault. It could never be called however, as smb_panic() from fault_report() could never return, as dump_core() never returns at the end of smb_panic() Autobuild-User: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org> Autobuild-Date: Tue Mar 22 05:07:58 CET 2011 on sn-devel-104

2010-11-02s3-debug Remove 'AllowDebugChange' and use lp_set_cmdline() insteadAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1
By removing this global variable, the API between the two different debug systems is made more similar. Both s3 and s4 now have lp_set_cmdline() which ensures that the smb.conf cannot overwrite these the user-specified log level. Andrew Bartlett
2010-11-02s3-debug Impove setup_logging() to specify logging to stderrAndrew Bartlett1-3/+1
This change improves the setup_logging() API so that callers which wish to set up logging to stderr can simply ask for it, rather than directly modify the dbf global variable. Andrew Bartlett
2010-10-12libcli/security Provide a common, top level libcli/security/security.hAndrew Bartlett1-0/+1
This will reduce the noise from merges of the rest of the libcli/security code, without this commit changing what code is actually used. This includes (along with other security headers) dom_sid.h and security_token.h Andrew Bartlett Autobuild-User: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org> Autobuild-Date: Tue Oct 12 05:54:10 UTC 2010 on sn-devel-104

2010-05-21s3:dom_sid Global replace of DOM_SID with struct dom_sidAndrew Bartlett1-3/+3
This matches the structure that new code is being written to, and removes one more of the old-style named structures, and the need to know that is is just an alias for struct dom_sid. Andrew Bartlett Signed-off-by: Günther Deschner <gd@samba.org>

2009-04-30Get medieval on our ass about SMB1 file descriptors being 16 bits, not an int.Jeremy Allison1-2/+2
Convert all uses of cli_open(), cli_nt_createXXX to NTSTATUS versions. This is smaller than it looks, it just fixes a lot of old code. Next up, ensure all cli_XX functions return NTSTATUS. Jeremy.

2009-03-17Remove the global "struct cm_cred_struct" and associated calls, makeJeremy Allison1-6/+1
callers pass in a struct user_auth_info * instead. This commit causes smbc_set_credentials() to print out a message telling callers to use smbc_set_credentials_with_fallback() instead, as smbc_set_credentials() has a broken API (no SMBCCTX * pointer). No more global variables used in the connection manager API for client dfs calls. Jeremy.
2008-12-14Remove the global "cmdline_auth_info" from source3/lib/util.cVolker Lendecke1-12/+20
This involves changing all our clients, that's why it's so large.
2008-12-03s3: Change sockaddr util function names for consistencyTim Prouty1-1/+1

2007-12-10Remove the char[1024] strings from dynconfig. ReplaceJeremy Allison1-1/+1
them with malloc'ing accessor functions. Should save a lot of static space :-). Jeremy. (This used to be commit 52dc5eaef2106015b3a8b659e818bdb15ad94b05)

2007-11-29Remove the explicit TALLOC_CTX * from cli_struct.Jeremy Allison1-4/+3
Make us very explicit about how long a talloc ctx should last. Jeremy. (This used to be commit ba9e2be2b5a59684e854609f9d82ea1633448c62)
2007-10-27Change all occurrences of zero_addr(&ss,AF_INET) toJeremy Allison1-1/+1
zero_addr(&ss). All current uses were always of the AF_INET form, so simplify the call. If in the future we need to zero an addr to AF_INET6 this can be done separately. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 2e92418a138bf2738b77b7e0fcb2fa37ad84fc0c)
2007-10-24This is a large patch (sorry). Migrate from struct in_addrJeremy Allison1-7/+8
to struct sockaddr_storage in most places that matter (ie. not the nmbd and NetBIOS lookups). This passes make test on an IPv4 box, but I'll have to do more work/testing on IPv6 enabled boxes. This should now give us a framework for testing and finishing the IPv6 migration. It's at the state where someone with a working IPv6 setup should (theorecically) be able to type : smbclient //ipv6-address/share and have it work. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 98e154c3125d5732c37a72d74b0eb5cd7b6155fd)
2007-10-19Fix the popt / bool issues. Some places we used BOOLJeremy Allison1-3/+12
where we meant int. Fix this. Thanks to metze for pointing this out. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 793a9d24a163cb6cf5a3a0aa5ae30e9f8cf4744a)
2007-10-18RIP BOOL. Convert BOOL -> bool. I found a few interestingJeremy Allison1-12/+12
bugs in various places whilst doing this (places that assumed BOOL == int). I also need to fix the Samba4 pidl generation (next checkin). Jeremy. (This used to be commit f35a266b3cbb3e5fa6a86be60f34fe340a3ca71f)
2007-10-10Add start of IPv6 implementation. Currently most of this is avoidingJeremy Allison1-1/+1
IPv6 in winbindd, but moves most of the socket functions that were wrongly in lib/util.c into lib/util_sock.c and provides generic IPv4/6 independent versions of most things. Still lots of work to do, but now I can see how I'll fix the access check code. Nasty part that remains is the name resolution code which is used to returning arrays of in_addr structs. Jeremy. (This used to be commit 3f6bd0e1ec5cc6670f3d08f76fc2cd94c9cd1a08)

* autogenerate lsa ndr code * rename 'enum SID_NAME_USE' to 'enum lsa_SidType' * merge a log more security descriptor functions from gen_ndr/ndr_security.c in SAMBA_4_0 The most embarassing thing is the "#define strlen_m strlen" We need a real implementation in SAMBA_3_0 which I'll work on after this code is in. (This used to be commit 3da9f80c28b1e75ef6d46d38fbb81ade6b9fa951)
2007-10-10r16644: Fix bug #3887 reported by jason@ncac.gwu.eduJeremy Allison1-2/+2

lp_load() could not be called multiple times to modify parameter settings based on reading from multiple configuration settings. Each time, it initialized all of the settings back to their defaults before reading the specified configuration file. This patch adds a parameter to lp_load() specifying whether the settings should be initialized. It does, however, still force the settings to be initialized the first time, even if the request was to not initialize them. (Not doing so could wreak havoc due to uninitialized values.) (This used to be commit f2a24de769d1b2266e576597c57a8e3b1e2a2b51)
