2011-10-07s4-dsdb: special case for deleted objects one way linkAndrew Tridgell1-4/+17
we show wellknown links to the deleted objects container Pair-Programmed-With: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org> Autobuild-User: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org> Autobuild-Date: Fri Oct 7 07:58:08 CEST 2011 on sn-devel-104
2011-10-07s4-dsdb: don't display links to deleted objectsAndrew Tridgell1-9/+42
unless the user asks for the display of deactivated links, we should not display DNs that link to deleted objects Pair-Programmed-With: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org>
2011-09-23build: avoid util.h as a public header name due to conflict with MacOSAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1
2011-08-09s4-dsdb: use dn_format shortcut to find DN formatAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
this saves some string comparisons
2011-08-04s4-dsdb: fixed outgoing one way link DNsAndrew Tridgell1-2/+62
when we return a DN which is a one way link, fix the string DN component by searching for the GUID and replacing the DN components Pair-Programmed-With: Amitay Isaacs <amitay@gmail.com> Pair-Programmed-With: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org>
2011-02-10ldb: use #include <ldb.h> for ldbAndrew Tridgell1-3/+3
thi ensures we are using the header corresponding to the version of ldb we're linking against. Otherwise we could use the system ldb for link and the in-tree one for include Pair-Programmed-With: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org>

2010-09-25s4-dsdb: added tagging of requests in dsdb modulesAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
this allows you to call dsdb_req_chain_debug() in gdb or when writing debug code to see the request chain

2010-09-13s4:cosmetic - the SID attribute is called objectSid - not objectSIDMatthias Dieter Wallnöfer1-8/+8
2010-09-02s4:dsdb Fix attribute being searched for in dereference against Fedora DSAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1
The problem here is that these attributes are not mapped in the simple_ldap_map, and they were changed a while back. Andrew Bartlett
2010-09-02s4:dsdb Make the dereference control critical if input is criticalAndrew Bartlett1-1/+3
This helps us ensure that the backend knows about and respects the dereference control if our caller has asked that the extended DN control be considered critical. Andrew Bartlett
2010-07-07s4-dsdb: use ldb_operr() in the dsdb codeAndrew Tridgell1-28/+18
this replaces "return LDB_ERR_OPERATIONS_ERROR" with "return ldb_operr(ldb)" in places in the dsdb code where we don't already explicitly set an error string. This should make is much easier to track down dsdb module bugs that result in an operations error.

2010-03-22s4:dsdb Add 'const' to some struct dsdb_schema variablesAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1
We don't currently require this, but we may move this way in future.
2010-03-22s4:dsdb Don't load the schema unconditionallyAndrew Bartlett1-0/+5
Schema loads now come at a price, so avoid doing them if we don't have to (such as when doing an @REPLCHANGED or other special DN based search). Andrew Bartlett
2010-03-16s4:dsdb Change dsdb_get_schema() callers to use new talloc argumentAndrew Bartlett1-2/+2
This choses an appropriate talloc context to attach the schema too, long enough lived to ensure it does not go away before the operation compleates. Andrew Bartlett

2009-12-16s4-dsdb: it is a better pattern to mark a control as done than remove itAndrew Tridgell1-15/+3
removing a control means it can't be seen by any other modules, which is usually not what is wanted. Better to just mark it non-critical, which means anyone else who wants to look at it can, but if nobody does its not an error.
2009-12-16s4-dsdb: use dsdb_dn_is_deleted_val()Andrew Tridgell1-25/+22
This also moves the check to before we parse the DN, which saves some unnecessary work Pair-Programmed-With: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet@samba.org>
2009-12-14s4-dsdb: use the reveal control to hide/show extended DN componentsAndrew Tridgell1-1/+44
When reveal is set, then we show deleted linked attributes and all linkked attribute components. When not set we show a normal extended DN.
2009-12-10s4-dsdb: use GUID_to_ndr_blob()Andrew Tridgell1-10/+4
2009-11-30s4-ldb: changed ldb_msg_add_dn() to ldb_msg_add_linearized_dn()Crístian Deives1-3/+3
this makes the usage clearer Signed-off-by: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org>
2009-11-23s4/schema: Handle Object(OR-Name) syntax in extended_dn_out moduleKamen Mazdrashki1-4/+12
Windows displays attribute values with Object(OR-Name) syntax in plain DN format when queried through LDAP. Hence, we need to post-process such values specially in extended_dn_out.c module so they are always shown as plain DN, no matter what controls are passed for search request.
2009-11-20added new function "ldb_msg_add_dn"Crístian Deives1-2/+3
a helper function to a DN element to an ldb_msg using ldb_msg_add_string. Signed-off-by: Andrew Tridgell <tridge@samba.org>
2009-11-17s4:dsdb Rework samdb code to use 'storage format' DNs for defaultObjectCategoryAndrew Bartlett1-0/+31
It is important to always ensure that this attribute has an extended DN if the rest of the database stores things that way. The knowlege of what format the DN is stored on disk with is passed around in an LDB opaque. Andrew Bartlett
2009-11-12s4:dsdb Make callbacks in extended_dn_out clearer to followAndrew Bartlett1-1/+6
2009-11-12s4:dsdb Improve debug message in extended_dn_outAndrew Bartlett1-1/+3
2009-11-12s4:dsdb Cosmetic fixes found by metze in review of dsdb_dn changesAndrew Bartlett1-20/+21
These changes include reworking the code to call ldb_module_get_ctx() less often (avoid the function calls, particularly during the step into a complex function). Andrew Bartlett
2009-11-12s4:dsdb Use new dsdb_dn code in LDB modules and Samba4 schemaAndrew Bartlett1-13/+23
This converts the code from using the binary DN code in ldb_dn to using a special Samba-specfic wrapper around ldb_dn. We also use the dsdb_dn code for DN+Binary and DN+String comparisons (changed from treating them as Binary blobs) Andrew Bartlett
2009-11-02s4:dsdb - Store SID as string in FDS.Endi S. Dewata1-2/+22
2009-11-02s4:dsdb - Fixed attribute dereferencing for FDSEndi S. Dewata1-16/+122
2009-10-02s4-ldb: accept the binary DN OIDs in extended DN modulesAndrew Tridgell1-2/+4
2009-06-30s4: dsdb Avoid using the internal ldb_private.h headerAndrew Bartlett1-24/+24
This job is not complete (the partition module remains a unfinished task), but now we do use the private ldb headers much less. Andrew Bartlett

2008-12-17s4:dsdb: split extended_dn into extended_dn_in, extended_dn_out and ↵Andrew Bartlett1-0/+655
extended_dn_store. By splitting the module, the extended_dn_in and extended_dn_store moudles can use extended_dn_out to actually get the extended DN. This avoids code duplication. The extended_dn_out module also contains a client implementation of the OpenLDAP dereference control (draft-masarati-ldap-deref-00). This also introduces a new control 'DSDB_CONTROL_DN_STORAGE_FORMAT_OID' to ask the extended_dn_out module to return whatever the 'storage format' is. This allows us to work with both OpenLDAP (which performs a dereference at run time) and LDB (which stores the GUID and SID on disk). Signed-off-by: Stefan Metzmacher <metze@samba.org>
