metze (This used to be commit f6bd76fa154de6ed7f7ef3257be9572f13f3ec48)
2007-10-10r10438: Move portability functions to lib/replace/; replace now simply ensuresJelmer Vernooij7-41/+269
that a given set of (working) POSIX functions are available (without prefixes to their names, etc). See lib/replace/README for a list. Functions that behave different from their POSIX specification (such as sys_select, sys_read, etc) have kept the sys_ prefix. (This used to be commit 29919a71059b29fa27a49b1f5b84bb8881de65fc)
2007-10-10r10377: Save configuration stuff to sconf.cache so it isn't annoyingly runTim Potter1-6/+7
at every single build. Run 'scons configure=1' or delete sconf.cache to force checks to be re-run. Jelmer, I think this stuff is cached in the .sconf_cache directory but the message is still displayed and it looks like it caches the compiled test object file not the actual result of the test. (This used to be commit 9d001dc083937bbf5642af90bc8a8b1a27825de0)
2007-10-10r10348: Add scons scripts for remaining subsystems. Most subsystems build now,Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
but final linking still fails (as does generating files asn1, et, idl and proto files) (This used to be commit 4f0d7f75b99c7f4388d8acb0838577d86baf68b5)
2007-10-10r10336: Add sconscript for a couple more subsystems.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+11

(This used to be commit 5a38b9a10b3c5363cddc7acaaea2e1e9aceb254c)
2007-10-10r9369: an attempt to fix the build on HPUX. This is based on work by DonAndrew Tridgell2-79/+29
McCall, but takes a slightly different approach that I hope will be more generic (This used to be commit e8260a81cf99be2ccae64135ca0572c8a6ae62ad)
2007-10-10r9063: - don't pollute the global $LIBS variable with -ldlStefan Metzmacher1-0/+16
- -lresolve seems to not being needed any more (it's actually not used, and the build farm seem to happy with it) - move socket and netif configure test to seperate files - don't pollute the global $LIBS variable with -lsocket ... - actually make use of the -lsocket when needed (should fix the solaris build) metze (This used to be commit adebd56be6f62323d56b6666ca0e02f85a33438e)
2007-10-10r8750: drat, on some systems dirfd() is a macroAndrew Tridgell1-0/+3

2007-10-10r8749: for completeness, add rewinddir() and dirfd()Andrew Tridgell1-0/+10
(This used to be commit ce022e40908dabad41de276941d2ee7a5739aea4)
2007-10-10r8746: replace opendir/readdir/telldir/seekdir/closedir on systems where theyAndrew Tridgell3-1/+166
are broken (apparently all BSD systems). This breakage leads to unlink on files in an open directory causing a later seekdir to miss files. The bug happens due to a block boundary bug in the BSD libc implementation of these calls. This replacement code also fixes a severe memory usage problem with telldir that can cause closedir() to take an arbitrary amount of time. I have reported the bug in readdir to Greg Lehey (a FreeBSD maintainer) (This used to be commit e1bf7c4279fbc03a52497d24cea375e75059cba1)
2007-10-10r8710: another attempt at fixing HPUXAndrew Tridgell1-1/+2

2007-10-10r8698: attempt to cope with lack of strtoull() on HPUXAndrew Tridgell1-1/+9
(This used to be commit c84c516b179fcbbcdb36c0c0aa4ffb4ff12f2c35)
2007-10-10r8580: try to fix the build on stratusAndrew Tridgell1-12/+8

2007-10-10r8465: once we define socklen_t, then tell other include files we have it. ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+1
This prevents roken trying to redefine it (This used to be commit aa9491c0cb00f5cab9e00983bf2a0c266011904a)
2007-10-10r8458: next target is irix - this gets the socket wrapper code buildingAndrew Tridgell1-0/+4
(This used to be commit 3d4a2221c3e032bbb6c23d132e00588f44f5e2ed)
2007-10-10r8450: more configure tests for solaris. It now builds some binaries, butAndrew Tridgell1-0/+12
fails in the ejs floating point code. (This used to be commit 30e1b6140e9f6246cb66eef7cf108d1ccf62bd40)
2007-10-10r8437: Win32 doesn't have u_int*_tJelmer Vernooij1-0/+3

2007-10-10r8420: slowly getting my way through some more heimdal portability fixesAndrew Tridgell1-4/+0
(This used to be commit 59c3de6ca8b8e153e5cfd67da5f2afc2e23d36db)
2007-10-10r8418: PRINTF_ATTRIBUTE declaration has to come before it is used :-)Andrew Tridgell1-12/+12
(This used to be commit a1ca8352f48cf1942e5a060c79ae1cc78b8a3668)

heimdal (This used to be commit 7d4e309f02cfcef661ebf3bbe9c227938318077c)
2007-10-10r7866: Remove some unused autoconf macro calls.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
Some of these should probably be re-added again later when we need them. They should then be added to the appropriate config.m4 file in the source tree rather then in rewrite.m4. (This used to be commit 4eca613470139f6425f454aea016566f9deffa3e)
2007-10-10r7850: Support mkdir() with just one parameter. Patch fromJelmer Vernooij1-0/+20
Steven Edwards <steven_ed4153@yahoo.com>. I've moved the Win32-specific tests to win32.m4 so it does not make any of the POSIX configure stuff more complicated. (This used to be commit bf85fdd01552f75b745fdf3159a7a87cd6521ed2)
2007-10-10r7352: the internal heimdal build change. This changes quite a few things:Andrew Tridgell2-0/+123
- if you want kerberos now, you need to unpack a lorikeet heimdal tree in source/heimdal/. If source/heimdal/ does not exist at configure time then all kerberos features are disabled. You cannot use an external kerberos library for now. That may change later. - moved lib/replace/ config stuff to lib/replace/ and create a lib/replace/replace.h. That allows the heimdal build to use our portability layer, and prevenets duplicate definitions of functions like strlcat() - if you do enable heimdal, then you will need to do 'make HEIMDAL_EXTERNAL' before you build Samba. That should be fixed once I explain the problem to jelmer (the problem is the inability to set a depend without also dragging in the object list of the dependency. We need this for building the heimdal asn1 compiler and et compiler. - disabled all of the m4 checks for external kerberos libraries. I left them in place in auth/kerberos/, but disabled it in configure.in some of the heimdal_build/ code is still very rough, for example I don't correctly detect the correct awk, flex, bison replacements for heimdal_build/build_external.sh. I expect to fix that stuff up over the next few days. (This used to be commit d4648249b2c7fc8b5e7c0fc8d8f92ae043b5691f)
2007-10-10r7166: Move replacement stuff to seperate directoryJelmer Vernooij2-0/+1545
(easier to add win32-specific bits later) Trim LIBBASIC a bit more (This used to be commit fc7f519e4ae2051e9515df5f549c8e1842b7e70b)
