2007-10-10r10438: Move portability functions to lib/replace/; replace now simply ensuresJelmer Vernooij1-71/+0
that a given set of (working) POSIX functions are available (without prefixes to their names, etc). See lib/replace/README for a list. Functions that behave different from their POSIX specification (such as sys_select, sys_read, etc) have kept the sys_ prefix. (This used to be commit 29919a71059b29fa27a49b1f5b84bb8881de65fc)
2007-10-10r5298: - got rid of pstring.h from includes.h. This at least makes it a bitAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
less likely that anyone will use pstring for new code - got rid of winbind_client.h from includes.h. This one triggered a huge change, as winbind_client.h was including system/filesys.h and defining the old uint32 and uint16 types, as well as its own pstring and fstring. (This used to be commit 9db6c79e902ec538108d6b7d3324039aabe1704f)
2007-10-10r4898: - removed the unused wins_srv_*() codeAndrew Tridgell1-31/+0
- expanded the generic async name resolver to try multiple methods - added wins resolutions to the list of methods tried - fixed up the random trn id generation to use the good random generator (This used to be commit 266fd2751c01808e5a18d4094032af50554ceb7a)
2007-10-10r3471: split out capabilities code from lib/system.c - should fix IRIX 6.5 buildAndrew Tridgell1-81/+0
(This used to be commit 34ffcd38a5544173aca85fbcec2f7ebfd5ec1f25)
2007-10-10r3470: removed some unused functions (should fix the build on IRIX 6.4)Andrew Tridgell1-111/+15
(This used to be commit b4c727a8dd74c9603a58c019d4be8b423209e04d)
2007-10-10r3458: more solaris portability fixes, the main one being that we can't use aAndrew Tridgell1-116/+0
structure element called "open" as its a macro on solaris. (This used to be commit 4e92e15c4e396b1d8cd211192888fea68c2cf0f9)
2007-10-10r3457: s_addr is a macro on solaris, so we can't use it in structure names. ↵Andrew Tridgell1-2/+2
arrgh. (This used to be commit 7842b23d01c53009259a2461600bd01159cecebf)
2007-10-10r3454: moved a few more things out if includes.h into the include/system/ ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+1
include files. this brings us down to about 11k lines of headers included with includes.h, while still retaining the speed of building with pch (This used to be commit 10188869ef072309ca580b8b933e172571fcdda7)
2007-10-10r3445: made the gtk tooks use minimal includes. This approximately halves theAndrew Tridgell1-0/+2
total include lines in compiling C files in Samba (the .gch file is now 5M instead of 12M) This also gets rid of the silly gtk compile warning for non-gtk code (This used to be commit 8ebd20cf551c8c1fad98ec723d91873fa202b85a)
2007-10-10r3443: the next stage in the include files re-organisation.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+22
I have created the include/system/ directory, which will contain the wrappers for the system includes for logical subsystems. So far I have created include/system/kerberos.h and include/system/network.h, which contain all the system includes for kerberos code and networking code. These are the included in subsystems that need kerberos or networking respectively. Note that this method avoids the mess of #ifdef HAVE_XXX_H in every C file, instead each C module includes the include/system/XXX.h file for the logical system support it needs, and the details are kept isolated in include/system/ This patch also creates a "struct ipv4_addr" which replaces "struct in_addr" in our code. That avoids every C file needing to import all the system networking headers. (This used to be commit 2e25c71853f8996f73755277e448e7d670810349)
2007-10-10r3441: some include file cleanups and general housekeepingAndrew Tridgell1-187/+0
(This used to be commit 73ea8ee6c268371d05cf74160f2ad451dd2ae699)
2007-10-10r2872: got rid of a couple of unused (and horrible) functionsAndrew Tridgell1-191/+0
(This used to be commit 4bb410756df13c8c23d21b43c1186f3f9cb9f758)
2007-10-10r960: convert 'unsigned int' to uint_t in the most placesStefan Metzmacher1-1/+1
metze (This used to be commit 18062d2ed9fc9224c43143c10efbf2f6f1f5bbe0)
2007-10-10r884: convert samba4 to use [u]int32_t instead of [u]int32Stefan Metzmacher1-2/+2
metze (This used to be commit 0e5517d937a2eb7cf707991d1c7498c1ab456095)
2007-10-10r873: converted samba4 to use real 64 bit integers instead ofAndrew Tridgell1-30/+0
structures. This was suggested by metze recently. I checked on the build farm and all the machines we have support 64 bit ints, and support the LL suffix for 64 bit constants. I suspect some won't support strtoll() and related functions, so we will probably need replacements for those. (This used to be commit 9a9244a1c66654c12abe4379661cba83a73c4c21)
2003-11-30 * removed a bunch of unused codeAndrew Tridgell1-171/+0
* made some functions static (This used to be commit 829b87f30d5f4cc7174b716f3354982d84af4818)
2003-11-23reduced the number of magic types we need in mkproto.plAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
In general I prefer "struct foo" to just "foo" for most structures. There are exceptions. (This used to be commit 04eb12b56c653f98801ab29411f47564ab32fa58)
2003-08-13first public release of samba4 codeAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1114
