2007-10-10r12761: get the TIME_T_MIN and TIME_T_MAX right again, merging from samba3 ↵Stefan Metzmacher1-4/+16
was a bad idea... as in samba4 we use TIME_T_MIN = 0 (maybe we should do this in samba3 too) because negativ values mean error. but still restrict TIME_T_MAX to INT32_MAX, to not overflow gmtime() on 64 bit systems, is this behavior documented somewhere? metze (This used to be commit 333b1b8c4885c47a0d14d83896fce6740fa4d663)
2007-10-10r12754: - sync TIME_T_MAX calculation from samba3Stefan Metzmacher1-12/+4
- but limit TIME_T_MAX to INT32_MAX, otherwise 64 platfroms are broken because gmtime() will fail with INT64_MAX passed in! I'm not sure if that's the best fix for this problem, but it works... Should we port the INT32_MAX limitation to samba3? Comments, please? metze (This used to be commit 396fa81be5b950aa2120cff19540a0236f79a685)
2007-10-10r12431: - the TIME_T_MAX needs to be a singed max valueStefan Metzmacher1-3/+16
- fix the calculation of TIME_T_MAX -> nttime -> TIME_T_MAX metze (This used to be commit 9caf4b9a42b02db85b3eb233c74316dcccb12537)
2007-10-10r10914: moved the ldap time string functions into ldb so they can be used byAndrew Tridgell1-41/+0
the time attribute handling functions (This used to be commit 93c296d52718e77f8b702e1721b548eaadc56c76)
2007-10-10r10438: Move portability functions to lib/replace/; replace now simply ensuresJelmer Vernooij1-0/+34
that a given set of (working) POSIX functions are available (without prefixes to their names, etc). See lib/replace/README for a list. Functions that behave different from their POSIX specification (such as sys_select, sys_read, etc) have kept the sys_ prefix. (This used to be commit 29919a71059b29fa27a49b1f5b84bb8881de65fc)
2007-10-10r8886: Exchange the arguments of timeval_compare, this makes it behave like ↵Volker Lendecke1-8/+8
strcmp. Volker (This used to be commit 6f5bd7602155413029de32295d2639c4073ad4d8)

2007-10-10r8875: Rename timeval_diff to timeval_until and revert the arguments. ↵Volker Lendecke1-8/+8
timeval_diff is not strictly a subtraction function, there can't be negative timevals. Volker (This used to be commit 525d75dd24f6a8810f1ed2043d170c70b060f1f0)
2007-10-10r5666: winxp will use a NTTIME of -1 to mean "don't change" in setfileinfoAndrew Tridgell1-0/+9
basic_info. Add null_nttime() as the equivalent of the existing null_time() call for cheecking for valid NTTIME values (This used to be commit 439ce2efbf7d2ba9b17d6b4bfaf651e781140715)
2007-10-10r5358: - added initial WINS server code. It passes most of the NBT-WINS ↵Andrew Tridgell1-3/+25
test, but doesn't yet do secure server WACK responses - added a ldap_string_to_time() function, for converting a LDAP formatted time to a time_t (This used to be commit 9aa3313b3f93e47e3f93028e072f6a23b3c22385)
2007-10-10r5123: fixed a bug in the timed events handling. It was possible for a timedAndrew Tridgell1-0/+8
event handler to trigger a free that could cause a timer to be triggered twice. This changs fixes it properly by marking timer events to be removed using a zero next_event time. I also changed the default timeout for events.c to be infinite, so if there are no events to handle then smbd will sit forever doing nothing. That allows it to be swapped out completely when idle. (This used to be commit 0f1fb7017ee441cbebcad45900435adb57ca1760)

2007-10-10r4063: - change char * -> uint8_t in struct request_bufferStefan Metzmacher1-5/+5

2007-10-10r3976: changed NBENCH to use the same recording method as the latest dbench,Andrew Tridgell1-2/+21
where the warmup phase continues until all clients have done some file IO. This gives more repeatable results when under high load (This used to be commit aca0658f6dfe8b7c90afcac87e8cc68965a4288d)
2007-10-10r3723: Now that timestring() always returns talloc'ed memory, we don't needAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1

2007-10-10r3507: - added deferred replies on sharing violation in pvfs open. TheAndrew Tridgell1-3/+138
deferred reply is short-circuited immediately when the file is closed by another user, allowing it to be opened by the waiting user. - added a sane set of timeval manipulation routines - converted all the events code and code that uses it to use struct timeval instead of time_t, which allows for microsecond resolution instead of 1 second resolution. This was needed for doing the pvfs deferred open code, and is why the patch is so big. (This used to be commit 0d51511d408d91eb5f68a35e980e0875299b1831)

2007-10-10r873: converted samba4 to use real 64 bit integers instead ofAndrew Tridgell1-76/+23
structures. This was suggested by metze recently. I checked on the build farm and all the machines we have support 64 bit ints, and support the LL suffix for 64 bit constants. I suspect some won't support strtoll() and related functions, so we will probably need replacements for those. (This used to be commit 9a9244a1c66654c12abe4379661cba83a73c4c21)
2007-10-10r601: added the server code for all the samr_SetUserInfo and ↵Andrew Tridgell1-8/+18
samr_QueryUserInfo levels except for the password set levels. This means that a large part of the RPC-SAMR torture test now runs correctly against Samba4 (This used to be commit ec0a51898f543578e755207d81ed5c1524861c64)

added ldbedit, a _really_ useful command added ldbadd, ldbdel, ldbsearch and ldbmodify to build solved lots of timezone issues, we now pass the torture tests with client and server in different zones fixed several build issues I know this breaks the no-LDAP build. Wait till I arrive in San Jose for that fix. (This used to be commit af34710d4da1841653624fe304b1c8d812c0fdd9)
2003-08-13first public release of samba4 codeAndrew Tridgell1-0/+754
