2007-10-10r18639: Get rid of the keepref supportJelmer Vernooij1-2/+1
(This used to be commit d1364ef0cd8f1a64f44476476323ab390ac4de48)
2007-10-10r15776: Don't generate ref pointers in Samba4-generated code. There is no pointJelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
in having pointers for outgoing data when you can already modify the top-level element. This can be overridden (temporarily) by specifying the new "keepref" attribute. Once we've removed keepref from all IDL files, I'll remove this attribute as well. (This used to be commit bdc6dd37503ced8322a671d225122ccffbb8bfec)
2007-10-10r12513: Similar change as my previous commit, but now for transfer syntaxes.Jelmer Vernooij1-6/+0
Avoids converting a static string to GUID every time we check whether a transfer syntax is equal to that of NDR. (This used to be commit 8dcfcaf75ab8cf4a54cf5e56f6be25acc68e3989)
2007-10-10r8167: - use the same algorithm than w2k3 for 'unique' pointer valuesStefan Metzmacher1-2/+2
- add a new 'sptr' (simple-full) pointer type to simulate what we need to support pipes like epmapper and mgmt that uses 'ptr' full pointer in their spec - I runned make test and test_w2k3.sh with this, all fine does we have any other pipe using 'unique' pointer where we need 'ptr'? btw: jelmer, what does 'ignore' pointers do? they are allowed in pidl but not implemented! metze (This used to be commit d19068bfb2e3ff5d88bc3b76d5cef93417c7f218)
2007-10-10r8012: Add UUID for NDR64 transfer syntax.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+3
(This used to be commit 6a3f62222285fa091968bb025edfe21fcf5dfb86)
2007-10-10r7552: Use ParseExpr() for [value] attributes; allowsJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
us somewhat cleaner IDL. (This used to be commit b7b01bccd101654d1f5ec83cba9dea7e9431d6ce)
2007-10-10r6973: Merge new version of pidl into the main SAMBA_4_0 branch.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
The main difference in this new version is the extra data structure generated between the IDL data structure and the NDR parser: IDL -> NDR -> { ndr_parser, ndr_header, eparser, etc } This makes the ndr_parser.pm internals much more sane. Other changes include: - Remove unnecessary calls with NDR_BUFFERS (for example, GUID doesn't have any buffers, just scalars) as well as some (unnecessary) nested setting of flags. - Parse array loops in the C code rather then calling ndr_pull_array(). This allows us to have, for example, arrays of pointers or arrays of pointers to arrays, etc.. - Use if() {} rather then if () goto foo; everywhere - NDR_IN no longer implies LIBNDR_FLAG_REF_ALLOC - By default, top level pointers are now "ref" (as is the default in most other IDL compilers). This can be overridden using the default_pointer_top() property. - initial work on new ethereal parser generators by Alan DeKok and me - pidl now writes errors in the standard format used by compilers, which is parsable by most editors - ability to warn about the fact that pidl extension(s) have been used, useful for making sure IDL files work with other IDL compilers. oh, and there's probably some other things I can't think of right now.. (This used to be commit 13cf227615f6b9e0e5fa62e59197024410254f01)
2007-10-10r6577: Make test works without installation now.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
Running as a non-root user using socket_wrapper is possible by simple export SOCKET_WRAPPER_DIR before running 'make test' (This used to be commit 6d93fcc407cfd98e42045c65456cfb0c45f0ff1a)
2007-10-10r5209: Fix the endpoint mapper to work with IPX endpoints (whichJelmer Vernooij1-13/+3
accidently have the same protocol id as UUID's) Before this, Samba would give NDR errors when contacting a remote server that has IPX support enabled. This one was on my long due bugs list. (This used to be commit 7b847de64f35b8e897b64ad047d8aea3813214f8)
2007-10-10r5155: define ipv4address as a based IDL type, mapped to a "const char *" inAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
the header, and defined on the wire as a 4 byte network byte order IP. This means the calling code doesn't have to worry about network byte order conversions. (This used to be commit 72048e37179dd5b9ada0c5280d2f0d8c23d1a17d)
2007-10-10r5148: use ipv4_addr also in epmapper idlStefan Metzmacher1-1/+1
metze (This used to be commit cbc1f172822363e1fc4495d27248464403748cae)
2007-10-10r4526: - much simpler (and more accurate!) ndr_size_*() code generation. ItAndrew Tridgell1-4/+4
is less efficient, but I really doubt that matters. - use enum in epmapper.idl for protocol type - added support for "enum8bit" flag, used in epmapper.idl (This used to be commit 1a24a50384b7f588844cd012f1218ca242ca4507)
2007-10-10r4457: Fix IDL + add torture test for InqObjectJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
(This used to be commit dbcaff7c71c9b7ee984a2ed458b6c3ce27772740)
2007-10-10r3516: dcerpc_epm_map_binding now checks the endpoints it nows firstJelmer Vernooij1-3/+0
and then possibly does a epm_Map call(). ncacn_np now also uses dcerpc_epm_map_binding() (This used to be commit 77eec3fa18dbbf4d774ccf04c7a38b0887f26ca6)
2007-10-10r3433: Use .mk file for librpc/Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
(This used to be commit c1f345eefdce3f6fc9e3a526543b2b9a6441e566)
2007-10-10r3322: fixed a bunch of warnings in the build, including one case where it ↵Andrew Tridgell1-2/+2
was a real bug (This used to be commit 02d5d0f685e44bd66aff4a007f0bf34c8f915574)
2007-10-10r3283: converted to quoted uuid() defines in all our IDL. This should helpAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
the build on systems like solaris with the SunPRO compiler (This used to be commit fe913ad11bf1c5e9fe04ed769a93b0ea16aa0a34)
2007-10-10r3164: Look up ncalrpc identifiers using the EPMAPPER. ncalrpc now works ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
nicely :-) The various interface that support ncalrpc work nicely when tested with smbtorture and ncalrpc. Running RPC-SAMR against local smbd here is slightly faster using ncalrpc: ncalrpc: 1.8 sec ncacn_ip_tcp: 1.9 sec ncacn_np: 2.5 sec (This used to be commit 2cfc8f24ce209f47153d3a5bd7007dd1b0578b26)
2007-10-10r3162: Add client-side support for the ncalrpc: and ncacn_unix_stream: ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
transports. ncalrpc uses the new config option "ncalrpc dir" for creating unix sockets. (This used to be commit b15cfbe2512961a199ecb069730d9a19787579f5)
2007-10-10r3123: Add dcerpc_binding_build_tower()Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
Add local test for testing the functions dcerpc_parse_binding(), dcerpc_binding_string() and dcerpc_binding_build_tower() (This used to be commit 7a07c2c769b8e51178789eed4a31577f5d39f63a)
2007-10-10r3114: - More work on merging the various structs that describe endpointsJelmer Vernooij1-7/+7
- Add protocol sequence to dcerpc transports (will be used later on) - Add more transports to the list (This used to be commit ab110192e6e2c1e5a3b2befe7b61158744f15d18)
2007-10-10r3111: Add a few more protocol identifiers, rhs for ncalrpcJelmer Vernooij1-8/+40
(This used to be commit 53567a83cbca9df60bef76a15df24d2cd89a16b0)
2007-10-10r3043: Use binding strings for specifying endpoints. The property forJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
specifying a endpoint is now also 'endpoint' instead of 'endpoints'. The default endpoint (if none is specified) is still "ncacn_np:[\\pipe\\ifacename]", where ifacename is the name of the interface. Examples: [ uuid(60a15ec5-4de8-11d7-a637-005056a20182), endpoint("ncacn_np:[\\pipe\\rpcecho]", "ncacn_ip_tcp:") ] interface rpcecho { void dummy(); } dcerpc_binding is now converted to ep_description in the server, but I hope to completely eliminate ep_description later on. The eventual goal of all these changes is to make it easier to add transports as I'm going to add support for ncalrpc (local RPC over named pipes) and ncacn_unix_stream (Unix sockets). (This used to be commit f3da7c8b443a29b0c656c687a277384ae1353792)
2007-10-10r2990: Add support to pidl for autogenerating ndr_size_*() functions. AddingJelmer Vernooij1-2/+2
the [gensize] property to a struct or union will make pidl generate a ndr_size_*() function. (not all nasty bits of NDR are completely covered yet by the ndr_size*() functions, support for those will be added when necessary) I also have a local patch (not applied now) that simplifies the pidl output and eliminates the number of functions required. It would, however, make pidl more complex. (This used to be commit 7c823f886afd0c4c6ee838f17882ca0658417011)
2007-10-10r2968: fixed the byte order problem with the new RHS parsing on ncacn_ip_tcpAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit cc00f9b6b87783d189df00de0ce9ae92b907e21a)
2007-10-10r2956: Fix towers_length for now. I'm currently working on a pidl extensionJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
that can generate these kinds of functions (This used to be commit ebca2516502560edfd4056fbb4cfc9718a108efa)
2007-10-10r2939: Use /* */ style commentsJelmer Vernooij1-4/+4
(This used to be commit c5d4fae3b157c5559b8b15dde16451e91c0fc022)
2007-10-10r2938: Use IDL to dissect the RHS of floors in protocol towersJelmer Vernooij1-6/+101
(This used to be commit 273d0049b5339e3288b264e5a4393bfab1d4e239)
2007-10-10r2921: Add a few more protocols and fix the numbers associated with some ofJelmer Vernooij1-17/+26
the current ones. It took me three hours to realise that the DCOM standard contains false protocol numbers (apparently someone converted the protocol numbers to hex twice, i.e. 13 -> 0c and 14 to 0d). There are no longer duplicates in the list with protocol numbers now. (This used to be commit f355cd426462a72575ef3c3b769f676334976986)
2007-10-10r1818: _really_ fixed epmapper this time, it was using more than one old rpc ↵Andrew Tridgell1-22/+17
interface method. (This used to be commit ec41c73ae136bffea4285ade8be322b3c4cf3629)
2007-10-10r1799: List more uuids. FromJelmer Vernooij1-0/+4
http://www.hsc.fr/ressources/articles/win_net_srv (This used to be commit 8d36dbed8c5bdc82176083b2c6f8d989ae903ba5)
2007-10-10r1742: Add the IDispatch interfaceJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 798017bd10338a3a53aa5616a5eeb1146b24180f)
2007-10-10r1703: - Lots of RPC updates, adding new pipes and protocols.Jelmer Vernooij1-9/+21
- More updates/fixes to the ethereal parser generator (This used to be commit 547f860285b117e291bf3dbaca0707dc268b214e)
2003-12-31the endpoint mapper now works in bigendian modeAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 1f89d89954a3501e08efa97d1276ba9bb2d2305f)
2003-12-13dcerpc over tcp in the samba4 server now works to some extent. ItAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
needs quite a bit more work to get it finished. The biggest missing feature is the lack of NTLMSSP which is needed for basic authentication over tcp (This used to be commit 9fb0f0369356909c99389e2cbc525be27c08793c)
2003-12-13rpcdump.exe now works fine against a Samba4 serverAndrew Tridgell1-2/+3
for some reason the epm_Lookup replies can't be parsed by ethereal, although w2k parses then fine as does the Samba4 NDR code. (This used to be commit 097e7ca99d947932df5674c36e628ca6b8f31d3a)
2003-12-13added the epm_Map() call.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+2
the RPC-EPMAPPER torture test now passes (This used to be commit fbdcf9ef548aefb1233cbb22a60bff3eacba996f)
2003-11-27more epmapper and mgmt magicAndrew Tridgell1-4/+8
protocol 0x1f is interesting - its ncacn_http ! (This used to be commit e3d40e3da6e15407162c1d0a29d2cbe86842228e)
2003-11-27use EPMAPPER_PORT constant instead of 135Andrew Tridgell1-0/+2
(This used to be commit 953ab587dc5a625d0fb557fdcac122a3b2ed0224)
2003-11-26use the IDL defined NDR version numberAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 00e0c14b76c9b001c7d7b6b18b2cb543a57fe082)
2003-11-26added auto-determination of the DCERPC over TCP port number by askingAndrew Tridgell1-1/+9
the servers endpoint mapper (This used to be commit 4abf5376b00f580eb69196e55a792cc7eb4c9880)
2003-11-24added tests for epm_Map endpointer map callsAndrew Tridgell1-4/+4
(This used to be commit 570ad78525ffcc116842270b62ba41c86c2a018d)
2003-11-24give far more detail in the EPMAPPER resultsAndrew Tridgell1-19/+22
(This used to be commit 420301969820ffaa0a87b091c7a79372c99cb658)
2003-11-24added the dcerpc remote management interfaces as mgmt.idl, and wrote aAndrew Tridgell1-7/+7
test suite. The test suite dumps all of the interfaces available on all pipes. There sure are a lot more interfaces on w2k3 than w2k ! (This used to be commit f94bc079902d725b63155d8d2de5bf408c6e7335)
2003-11-22added some explanations for epmapper IDL and dom_sid2Andrew Tridgell1-0/+13
(This used to be commit 5962f1cffa9273cc06c8a3c4a112f3ce94b84dae)
2003-11-21* changed the way strings are handled in pidl to a much more generalAndrew Tridgell1-0/+134
interface. We now support an arbitrary set of flags to each parser, and these can be used to control the string types. I have provided some common IDL string types in librpc/idl/idl_types.h which needs to be included in every IDL file. * added IDL for the endpoint mapper. Added a test suite that enumerates all endpoints on the server. (This used to be commit d2665f36a75b482ff82733f72ffac938c2acf87a)
