2007-10-10r24532: rename struct dcerpc_syntax_id into struct ndr_syntax_idStefan Metzmacher1-3/+3
and move it into misc.idl The goal is to get rid a all dcerpc specific stuff in the generated ndr layer. metze (This used to be commit 2ed014cfb894cccab1654e3f7d5876393e2b52d7)

2007-10-10r8168: after testing I saw that w2k3 uses unique pointers on the mgmt pipeStefan Metzmacher1-2/+2
that also matches the spec at http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9629399/apdyq.htm metze (This used to be commit 117e678bde040b9294c2fff473ececd0d7e3a1cc)
2007-10-10r8167: - use the same algorithm than w2k3 for 'unique' pointer valuesStefan Metzmacher1-2/+2
- add a new 'sptr' (simple-full) pointer type to simulate what we need to support pipes like epmapper and mgmt that uses 'ptr' full pointer in their spec - I runned make test and test_w2k3.sh with this, all fine does we have any other pipe using 'unique' pointer where we need 'ptr'? btw: jelmer, what does 'ignore' pointers do? they are allowed in pidl but not implemented! metze (This used to be commit d19068bfb2e3ff5d88bc3b76d5cef93417c7f218)
2007-10-10r6973: Merge new version of pidl into the main SAMBA_4_0 branch.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
The main difference in this new version is the extra data structure generated between the IDL data structure and the NDR parser: IDL -> NDR -> { ndr_parser, ndr_header, eparser, etc } This makes the ndr_parser.pm internals much more sane. Other changes include: - Remove unnecessary calls with NDR_BUFFERS (for example, GUID doesn't have any buffers, just scalars) as well as some (unnecessary) nested setting of flags. - Parse array loops in the C code rather then calling ndr_pull_array(). This allows us to have, for example, arrays of pointers or arrays of pointers to arrays, etc.. - Use if() {} rather then if () goto foo; everywhere - NDR_IN no longer implies LIBNDR_FLAG_REF_ALLOC - By default, top level pointers are now "ref" (as is the default in most other IDL compilers). This can be overridden using the default_pointer_top() property. - initial work on new ethereal parser generators by Alan DeKok and me - pidl now writes errors in the standard format used by compilers, which is parsable by most editors - ability to warn about the fact that pidl extension(s) have been used, useful for making sure IDL files work with other IDL compilers. oh, and there's probably some other things I can't think of right now.. (This used to be commit 13cf227615f6b9e0e5fa62e59197024410254f01)
2007-10-10r5362: Add pointer_default() support to pidl. pointer_default()Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
is assumed to be "ptr" if not specified (just like midl). The validator will warn when "ptr" is used at the moment, because pidl only supports unique, ref and relative at the moment. (This used to be commit 31bed62a9a6f7830f523d509b67970648d40aaef)
2007-10-10r5209: Fix the endpoint mapper to work with IPX endpoints (whichJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
accidently have the same protocol id as UUID's) Before this, Samba would give NDR errors when contacting a remote server that has IPX support enabled. This one was on my long due bugs list. (This used to be commit 7b847de64f35b8e897b64ad047d8aea3813214f8)
2007-10-10r3516: dcerpc_epm_map_binding now checks the endpoints it nows firstJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
and then possibly does a epm_Map call(). ncacn_np now also uses dcerpc_epm_map_binding() (This used to be commit 77eec3fa18dbbf4d774ccf04c7a38b0887f26ca6)
2007-10-10r3283: converted to quoted uuid() defines in all our IDL. This should helpAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
the build on systems like solaris with the SunPRO compiler (This used to be commit fe913ad11bf1c5e9fe04ed769a93b0ea16aa0a34)
2007-10-10r1838: Updates from the airplane:Jelmer Vernooij1-2/+2
- IDL fixes + adding comments - Start working on dcom infrastructure (This used to be commit ef0fc269f06c82594c34ad8673c76c5ea099250e)
2007-10-10r884: convert samba4 to use [u]int32_t instead of [u]int32Stefan Metzmacher1-1/+1
metze (This used to be commit 0e5517d937a2eb7cf707991d1c7498c1ab456095)
2003-11-27switched to WERROR return codes in the management IDLAndrew Tridgell1-19/+16
(This used to be commit a81f659e9e7d876b82fb7b5950b9fbfbf5478e03)
2003-11-24added tests for the remaining calls on the rpc management interfaceAndrew Tridgell1-3/+17
(This used to be commit 00f9b0e12061c175334f96805ca8333f28f74d91)
2003-11-24added the dcerpc remote management interfaces as mgmt.idl, and wrote aAndrew Tridgell1-0/+63
test suite. The test suite dumps all of the interfaces available on all pipes. There sure are a lot more interfaces on w2k3 than w2k ! (This used to be commit f94bc079902d725b63155d8d2de5bf408c6e7335)
