2007-10-10r15776: Don't generate ref pointers in Samba4-generated code. There is no pointJelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
in having pointers for outgoing data when you can already modify the top-level element. This can be overridden (temporarily) by specifying the new "keepref" attribute. Once we've removed keepref from all IDL files, I'll remove this attribute as well. (This used to be commit bdc6dd37503ced8322a671d225122ccffbb8bfec)
2007-10-10r15653: Remove idl_types.h include where possible. RemoveJelmer Vernooij1-2/+0
types from .h file that are now in pidls' aliases list. (This used to be commit fadb9529ec7e1208b9f58a4e8b633d5a50633e82)
2007-10-10r14464: Don't include ndr_BASENAME.h files unless strictly required, insteadJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
try to include just the BASENAME.h files (containing only structs) (This used to be commit 3dd477ca5147f28a962b8437e2611a8222d706bd)
2007-10-10r11100: Replace unistr with [string,charset(UTF16)]Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 48f45927ceb4f7d39c4cc47b3b843e43a53b7f2b)
2007-10-10r8559: Couple of (D)COM updates:Jelmer Vernooij1-5/+1
- Fixes annoying array-of-pointers bug in pidl. - No longer "inherit" alignment thru subcontexts - Use "Image Object" as example DCOM object, rather then the "My Computer" object, which is built-in and can't be accessed remotely as far as I can see (This used to be commit bd706d496405d274b68c1ee560211837a8e63009)
2007-10-10r7029: Make array support in pidl similar to that in other IDL compilers. We ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
should now able to use constructions like these: [size_is(20)] int *x; -> Pointer to array of 20 ints [size_is(20)] int x[]; -> Array of 20 ints [size_is(20)] int *x[]; -> Array of 20 pointers to ints [size_is(20,)] int *x[] -> Array of 20 pointers to ints [size_is(,20)] int *x[]; -> Pointer to array of 20 ints [size_is(,20)] int **x; -> Pointer to pointer to array of 20 ints [size_is(20)] int x[][30]; -> 20 blocks of 30 ints (This used to be commit ecf583da71c2f80be124c17fccdcb284b47e0695)
2007-10-10r6973: Merge new version of pidl into the main SAMBA_4_0 branch.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
The main difference in this new version is the extra data structure generated between the IDL data structure and the NDR parser: IDL -> NDR -> { ndr_parser, ndr_header, eparser, etc } This makes the ndr_parser.pm internals much more sane. Other changes include: - Remove unnecessary calls with NDR_BUFFERS (for example, GUID doesn't have any buffers, just scalars) as well as some (unnecessary) nested setting of flags. - Parse array loops in the C code rather then calling ndr_pull_array(). This allows us to have, for example, arrays of pointers or arrays of pointers to arrays, etc.. - Use if() {} rather then if () goto foo; everywhere - NDR_IN no longer implies LIBNDR_FLAG_REF_ALLOC - By default, top level pointers are now "ref" (as is the default in most other IDL compilers). This can be overridden using the default_pointer_top() property. - initial work on new ethereal parser generators by Alan DeKok and me - pidl now writes errors in the standard format used by compilers, which is parsable by most editors - ability to warn about the fact that pidl extension(s) have been used, useful for making sure IDL files work with other IDL compilers. oh, and there's probably some other things I can't think of right now.. (This used to be commit 13cf227615f6b9e0e5fa62e59197024410254f01)
2007-10-10r5676: Fix some alignment issues and IRemoteActivationJelmer Vernooij1-2/+6
(This used to be commit a9b13f67012d235d98920e639f59411d57a79bd7)
2007-10-10r5671: Bunch of fixes related to arrays and pointers to arrays.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 00ef0feaddc096d8f5e2755feecaec37d589a99c)
2007-10-10r5661: Be a little stricter on syntax regarding arrays. A pointer to anJelmer Vernooij1-8/+4
array can now only be : type *name[]; rather then : type *name; which was supported in the past. Warnings will be given when the first syntax is used. Reasons for this change in behaviour include improved readability and the fact that the second format makes dealing with multiple levels of pointers harder. (This used to be commit a416de5825c540fd3741731c4be05e9a659a6fdb)
2007-10-10r5036: changed HYPER_T to the more standard "hyper"Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 1d1a9c11ee681540ef8a1029409bb24fc26f976c)
2007-10-10r3629: A bit of work on the DCOM server architecture, small fixesJelmer Vernooij1-3/+1
(This used to be commit e7b67ff22fe0a76afc93ee522b253eaf5dccb11d)
2007-10-10r3516: dcerpc_epm_map_binding now checks the endpoints it nows firstJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
and then possibly does a epm_Map call(). ncacn_np now also uses dcerpc_epm_map_binding() (This used to be commit 77eec3fa18dbbf4d774ccf04c7a38b0887f26ca6)
2007-10-10r3515: Fix RemoteActivation correctly this time (-:Jelmer Vernooij1-3/+8
Thanks to tridge for some help on this one! (This used to be commit 1104667190aa144e2c7d79ece9a55502b98d0351)
2007-10-10r3432: Support WERROR's in arguments (not just as return type). Some ofJelmer Vernooij1-3/+2
the DCOM calls are wrappers around several local calls, so you get things like: WERROR foobar ( [in] int num_ifaces, [in,size_is(num_ifaces)] IID *ifaces, [out,size_is(num_ifaces)] WERROR *results); (This used to be commit 0873bf2cbe3589988e518cf68ad4d14343b9240b)
2007-10-10r3428: switched to using minimal includes for the auto-generated RPC code.Andrew Tridgell1-1/+2
The thing that finally convinced me that minimal includes was worth pursuing for rpc was a compiler (tcc) that failed to build Samba due to reaching internal limits of the size of include files. Also the fact that includes.h.gch was 16MB, which really seems excessive. This patch brings it back to 12M, which is still too large, but better. Note that this patch speeds up compile times for both the pch and non-pch case. This change also includes the addition iof a "depends()" option in our IDL files, allowing you to specify that one IDL file depends on another. This capability was needed for the auto-includes generation. (This used to be commit b8f5fa8ac8e8725f3d321004f0aedf4246fc6b49)
2007-10-10r3413: RemoteActivation updates and fixesJelmer Vernooij1-13/+15
Add torture test for RemoteActivation The request is now send correctly and we get back a valid response from Windows but r->in.Interfaces is set to 0 somewhere while parsing the response... (This used to be commit cabec03422f0c7140b56b2d5c4ec8ca663b406fc)
2007-10-10r3283: converted to quoted uuid() defines in all our IDL. This should helpAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
the build on systems like solaris with the SunPRO compiler (This used to be commit fe913ad11bf1c5e9fe04ed769a93b0ea16aa0a34)
2007-10-10r2740: Finish the RemoteActivation interface. Torture tests will followJelmer Vernooij1-12/+6
after pidl has been fixed (to be able to use input variables inside size_is() for output variables) (This used to be commit ea0b0bfea97067118dab634efefd3115b7a0fd85)
2007-10-10r2735: More DCOM updates:Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+52
- Several updates to the interface definitions after reading some more of the specs - Add Remote Activation interface - Add body extension uuids - Add oxidresolve torture test to list - Make pidl complain about object interfaces that don't inherit from IUnknown (This used to be commit 1bb471832830d73f0c7290e2ec12878518598379)
