2007-10-10r12528: Add seperate proto headers for ntvfs, tdr, smb_server and nbt_server.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 87f665a1d5ba74289974bf9d8f9441c162e6f1b1)
2007-10-10r12500: Use init functions explicitly in a few more places. 'gensec' and ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+0
'librpc' are the only two subsystems left to convert. (This used to be commit f6bbc72996aeee8607fc583140fd60be0e06e969)
2007-10-10r12498: Eliminate INIT_OBJ_FILES and ADD_OBJ_FILES. We were not usingJelmer Vernooij1-11/+9
the difference between these at all, and in the future the fact that INIT_OBJ_FILES include smb_build.h will be sufficient to have recompiles at the right time. (This used to be commit b24f2583edee38abafa58578d8b5c4b43e517def)
2007-10-10r12494: Support loading modules from .so files for most subsystems.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
We now use a different system for initializing the modules for a subsystem. Most subsystems now have an init function that looks something like this: init_module_fn static_init[] = STATIC_AUTH_MODULES; init_module_fn *shared_init = load_samba_modules(NULL, "auth"); run_init_functions(static_init); run_init_functions(shared_init); talloc_free(shared_init); I hope to eliminate the other init functions later on (the init_programname_subsystems; defines). (This used to be commit b6d2ad4ce0a91c4be790dd258820c492ff1787ea)
2007-10-10r12254: Add some (hopefully correct) descriptions for libraries that are ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
installed. Install pkg-config files. (This used to be commit a86abe84e2cae7c6188c094a92c6b62aace02fdf)
2007-10-10r11534: Consider ntvfs as a libraryJelmer Vernooij1-1/+5
(This used to be commit f9bbc83f5316773520ce06c267ac9c0f1eb189e6)
2007-10-10r11244: Relative path names in .mk filesJelmer Vernooij1-15/+17
(This used to be commit 24e10300906c380919d2d631bfb3b8fd6b3f54ba)
2007-10-10r3982: split out the sid -> uid/gid mapping routines into a ntvfs_sidmapAndrew Tridgell1-0/+11
subsystem. This is in preparation for adding better default ACL generation in pvfs, which will require uid/gid -> sid mapping. (This used to be commit b31108e49247495d98cf7c12ee303b12a9e44e92)
2007-10-10r3737: - Get rid of the register_subsystem() and register_backend() functions.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+0
- Re-disable tdbtool (it was building fine on my Debian box but other machines were having problems) (This used to be commit 0d7bb2c40b7a9ed59df3f8944133ea562697e814)
2007-10-10r3733: More build system fixes/features:Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+5
- Use .mk files directly (no need for a SMB_*_MK() macro when adding a new SUBSYSTEM, MODULE or BINARY). This allows addition of new modules and subsystems without running configure - Add support for generating .dot files with the Samba4 dependency tree (as used by the graphviz and springgraph utilities) (This used to be commit 64826da834e26ee0488674e27a0eae36491ee179)
2007-10-10r3586: Fix some of the issues with the module init functions.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+6
Both subsystems and modules can now have init functions, which can be specified in .mk files (INIT_FUNCTION = ...) The build system will define : - SUBSYSTEM_init_static_modules that calls the init functions of all statically compiled modules. Failing to load will generate an error which is not fatal - BINARY_init_subsystems that calls the init functions (if defined) for the subsystems the binary depends on This removes the hack with the "static bool Initialised = " and the "lazy_init" functions (This used to be commit 7a8244761bfdfdfb48f8264d76951ebdfbf7bd8a)
2007-10-10r2751: this is a new ntvfs design which tries to solve:Stefan Metzmacher1-0/+1
- the stacking of modules - finding the modules private data - hide the ntvfs details from the calling layer - I set NTVFS_INTERFACE_VERSION 0 till we are closer to release (because we need to solve some async problems with the module stacking) metze (This used to be commit 3ff03b5cb21bb79afdd3b1609be9635f6688a539)
2007-10-10r2573: - added a configure test for nanosecond time resolution in struct statAndrew Tridgell1-24/+1
(recently Linux systems support this, allowing us to support the full resolution in NTTIME) - use nanosecond resolution in the posix backend if available - moved the configure tests and list of object files for the posix backend into ntvfs/posix/ to keep them more neatlly separated. (This used to be commit d92ad9f307fe16a3b253a0555b437f14c94b4dd7)
2007-10-10r2524: a simple pvfs rename implementation to make testing easierAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 98c1c75076fdb0df3a7c616f8c2e1ed138a6ff9a)
2007-10-10r2436: the second big lump of posix vfs code.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+7
this is still just a skeleton, and many of the functions are just based on the simple vfs backend, they are there to allow me to run smbtorture tests against the real parts of the posix backend. (This used to be commit f2fa7fe565e89360dba3bb5434d3a6a36f398348)
2007-10-10r2404: the first large lump of posix vfs stuff.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+8
this is still very much a skeleton (with many limbs missing too!). I am committing this early to get some feedback on the approach taken. (This used to be commit 40d5cae5ebbfe328e193eadb685df6a370730299)
2007-10-10r1470: Get the smb_trans2 structure out of the rap_cli_call struct.Volker Lendecke1-1/+4
Initial attempt at RAP server infrastructure. Look at rap_server.c for the dummy functions that are supposed to implement the core functionality. ipc_rap.c contains all the data shuffling. _rap_shareenum and _rap_serverenum2 in ipc_rap.c are (I think) regular enough to be auto-generated. I did not test all the corner cases yet, but nevertheless I would like some comments on the general style. Volker P.S: samba-3 smbclient now doesn't freak out anymore, although the results are not entirely correct :-) (This used to be commit 08140cc1a838b4eaa23c897b280a46c95b7ef3e0)
2007-10-10r766: convert ntvfs/* to a config.mk fileStefan Metzmacher1-0/+65
metze (This used to be commit 62d456c144e76b0d14225c2eed5b35bdf9650057)
