2007-10-10r11303: Support defining and installing public headers for libraries.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
Support installing libraries. Get rid of pkg-config file (will be autogenerated later on). (This used to be commit b4745032a2c55752c527026feb221ccc3dce10c8)
2007-10-10r11270: Move the core CrackNames code from rpc_server/drsuapi to dsdb/samdb.Andrew Bartlett1-2/+0
I'm sure this will not be the final resting place, but it will do for now. Use the cracknames code in auth/ for creating a server_info given a principal name only (should avoid assumtions about spliting a user@realm principal). Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit c9d5d8e45dd7b7c99b6cf35b087bc18012f31222)

(This used to be commit 8d9c18a1b4cf31ebae1d0c84b00b4d781f55de66)
2007-10-10r7643: This patch adds a new NTPTR subsystem:Stefan Metzmacher1-4/+4
- this is an abstraction layer for print services, like out NTVFS subsystem for file services - all protocol specific details are still in rpc_server/spoolss/ - like the stupid in and out Buffer handling - checking of the r->in.server_name - ... - this subsystem can have multiple implementation selected by the "ntptr providor" global-section parameter - I currently added a "simple_ldb" backend, that stores Printers, Forms, Ports, Monitors, ... in the spoolss.db, and does no real printing this backend is basicly for testing, how the spoolss protocol works - the interface is just a prototype and will be changed a bit the next days or weeks, till the simple_ldb backend can handle all calls that are used by normal w2k3/xp clients - I'll also make the api async, as the ntvfs api this will make things like the RemoteFindFirstPrinterChangeNotifyEx(), that opens a connection back to the client, easier to implement, as we should not block the whole smbd for that - the idea is to later implement a "unix" backend that works like the current samba3 code - and maybe some embedded print server vendors can write there own backend that can directly talk to a printer without having cups or something like this - the default settings are (it currently makes no sense to change them :-): ntptr providor = simple_ldb spoolss database = $private_dir/spoolss.db metze (This used to be commit 455b5536d41bc31ebef8290812f45d4a38afa8e9)
2007-10-10r6939: Get rid of SUBSYSTEM::NDR since all it did was require NDR_RAW.Tim Potter1-1/+1
(This used to be commit e077d9948f1406c61982d49c2fd925852fdf6553)
2007-10-10r6907: Unixinfo for samba4, not activated by default.Volker Lendecke1-0/+13

2007-10-10r6863: lib-friendlier names + fix some dependenciesJelmer Vernooij1-3/+1
(This used to be commit cab81a51bfd435b54e6f0d5a308aaf6828d38c00)
2007-10-10r6839: Add support for building subsystems as shared libraries. This can beJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
done by setting: OUTPUT_TYPE = SHARED_LIBRARY in the [SUBSYSTEM::...] section belonging to a subsystem. The idea is to allow multiple values to OUTPUT_TYPE simultaneously (e.g. OUTPUT_TYPE = SHARED_LIBRARY, STATIC_LIBRARY, OBJLIST ) (This used to be commit b9d0ae93ba86fec0115f58e7940b2a6c908bc809)
2007-10-10r5988: Fix the -P option (use machine account credentials) to use the Samba4Andrew Bartlett1-2/+1
secrets system, and not the old system from Samba3. This allowed the code from auth_domain to be shared - we now only lookup the secrets.ldb in lib/credentials.c. In order to link the resultant binary, samdb_search() has been moved from deep inside rpc_server into lib/gendb.c, along with the existing gendb_search_v(). The vast majority of this patch is the simple rename that followed, (Depending on the whole SAMDB for just this function seemed pointless, and brought in futher dependencies, such as smbencrypt.c). Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit e13c671619bd290a8b3cae8555cb281a9a185ee0)
2007-10-10r5667: Move schannel state into libcli/auth (as it belongs with schannel,Andrew Bartlett1-9/+0
which will move in with the rest of GENSEC shortly). Add the RID as another element in the schannel state. Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 69114b4a8e1c937ab5ff12ca91dd22bd83fd9a3b)
2007-10-10r5490: The big (D)COM commit! :-) Contains most of the changes described in theJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
DCOM paper in lorikeet. This is the result of 1.5 months work (mainly figuring out how things *really* work) at the end of 2004. In general: - Clearer distinction between COM and DCOM. DCOM is now merely the glue between DCE/RPC+ORPC and COM. COM can also work without DCOM now. This makes the code a lot clearer. - Clearer distinction between NDR and DCOM. Before, NDR had a couple of "if"s to cope with DCOM, which are now gone. - Use "real" arguments rather then structures for function arguments in COM, mainly because most of these calls are local so packing/unpacking data for every call is too much overhead (both speed- and code-wise) - Support several mechanisms to load class objects: - from memory (e.g. part of the current executable, registered at start-up) - from shared object files - remotely - Most things are now also named COM rather then DCOM because that's what it really is. After an object is created, it no longer matters whether it was created locally or remotely. There is a very simple example class that contains both a class factory and a class that implements the IStream interface. It can be tested (locally only, remotely is broken at the moment) by running the COM-SIMPLE smbtorture test. Still to-do: - Autogenerate parts of the class implementation code (using the coclass definitions in IDL) - Test server-side - Implement some of the common classes, add definitions for common interfaces. (This used to be commit 71fd3e5c3aac5f0002001ab29d2248e6c6842d6f)
2007-10-10r5487: - Allow disabling modulesJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
- Disable all current DCOM functionality (I hope to commit a large bunch of COM and DCOM changes later today) - Make remact and oxidresolver depend on orpc rather then dcom (This used to be commit f298f2a5478a905fe385b8d68318db92ee984374)
2007-10-10r4452: the beginnings of a dssetup rpc server.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+14
(This used to be commit 1c2170ae21d60c22ee3053fbf249dba59de576ba)
2007-10-10r4096: move the samdb code to source/dsdb/Stefan Metzmacher1-16/+0
the idea is to have a directory service db layer which will be used by the ldap server, samr server, drsuapi server authentification... I plan to make different implementations of this interface possible - current default will be the current samdb code with sam.ldb - a compat implementation for samba3 (if someone wants to write one) - a new dsdb implementation which: - understands naming contexts (directory parrtitions) - do schema and acl checking checking - maintain objectGUID, timestamps and USN number, maybe linked attributes ('member' and 'memberOf' attributes) - store metadata on a attribute=value combination... metze (This used to be commit 893a8b8bca2f020fbbe6f469aaa8dd4478249eb8)
2007-10-10r3898: Work towards local/server DCOM support, start workingJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
on Simple example server side implementation (This used to be commit 98afb504d95ccca4d6ec48273e10b52ccfa26ad0)
2007-10-10r3891: Add rot (Running Object Table) interfaceJelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
(This used to be commit 4840eaeed3cfd72026babb382f26929c29702713)
2007-10-10r3881: Split up the LIBNDR_GEN subsystem into NDR_* and RPC_NDR_* subsystems.Jelmer Vernooij1-13/+24
This reduces the total size of the samba binaries from 119 Mb to 73 Mb. Next step will be to have the build system obtain some of this information by itself, so that we don't have to write ~10 lines per interface manually. (This used to be commit 16d905f6b0cbec591eebc44ee2ac9516a5730378)
2007-10-10r3737: - Get rid of the register_subsystem() and register_backend() functions.Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+0
- Re-disable tdbtool (it was building fine on my Debian box but other machines were having problems) (This used to be commit 0d7bb2c40b7a9ed59df3f8944133ea562697e814)
2007-10-10r3733: More build system fixes/features:Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+12
- Use .mk files directly (no need for a SMB_*_MK() macro when adding a new SUBSYSTEM, MODULE or BINARY). This allows addition of new modules and subsystems without running configure - Add support for generating .dot files with the Samba4 dependency tree (as used by the graphviz and springgraph utilities) (This used to be commit 64826da834e26ee0488674e27a0eae36491ee179)
2007-10-10r3629: A bit of work on the DCOM server architecture, small fixesJelmer Vernooij1-14/+5
(This used to be commit e7b67ff22fe0a76afc93ee522b253eaf5dccb11d)
2007-10-10r3586: Fix some of the issues with the module init functions.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+14
Both subsystems and modules can now have init functions, which can be specified in .mk files (INIT_FUNCTION = ...) The build system will define : - SUBSYSTEM_init_static_modules that calls the init functions of all statically compiled modules. Failing to load will generate an error which is not fatal - BINARY_init_subsystems that calls the init functions (if defined) for the subsystems the binary depends on This removes the hack with the "static bool Initialised = " and the "lazy_init" functions (This used to be commit 7a8244761bfdfdfb48f8264d76951ebdfbf7bd8a)
2007-10-10r3486: Add RemoteActivation serverJelmer Vernooij1-0/+10
(This used to be commit 0987a5fdd6425a85823f57fe5b596bb6c404bce8)
2007-10-10r3163: Add server side support for ncalrpc: and ncacn_unix_stream:Jelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
Examples of binding strings are : ncalrpc:[EPMAPPER] ncacn_unix_stream:[/tmp/epmapper] N.B. The unix socket support in lib/socket/ appears to close and remove the socket it is listening on after the first client disconnects so until that has been fixed, it is only possible to do one ncalrpc: or ncacn_unix_stream: request per instance of smbd :-) Support for looking up NCALRPC names via the endpoint mapper will be added later. (This used to be commit 426f3e63cae3d306dcdc13ee4b655eed30057ff8)
2007-10-10r2970: - give somefields names and typdef enums for the possible valuesStefan Metzmacher1-0/+2
- do more crackname tests in the torture test - move server code for cracknames to a different file metze (This used to be commit 18050ea6037b3c0c7cfe975eb9c872368b9e3328)
2007-10-10r2889: add DRSUAPI serverStefan Metzmacher1-0/+11
- with DsBind and DsUnbind implmented :-) the RPC-DRSUAPI test works metze (This used to be commit 536af87ef12024615728ce0060b557f6f504e33f)
2007-10-10r2696: DCOM updates:Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+12
- Start working on OXIDResolver interface - Add torture test for SimplePing() (This used to be commit b54d14a01a71082251ff926ab57974c6eb3c0a41)
2007-10-10r1294: A nice, large, commit...Andrew Bartlett1-6/+14
This implements gensec for Samba's server side, and brings gensec up to the standards of a full subsystem. This means that use of the subsystem is by gensec_* functions, not function pointers in structures (this is internal). This causes changes in all the existing gensec users. Our RPC server no longer contains it's own generalised security scheme, and now calls gensec directly. Gensec has also taken over the role of auth/auth_ntlmssp.c An important part of gensec, is the output of the 'session_info' struct. This is now reference counted, so that we can correctly free it when a pipe is closed, no matter if it was inherited, or created by per-pipe authentication. The schannel code is reworked, to be in the same file for client and server. ntlm_auth is reworked to use gensec. The major problem with this code is the way it relies on subsystem auto-initialisation. The primary reason for this commit now.is to allow these problems to be looked at, and fixed. There are problems with the new code: - I've tested it with smbtorture, but currently don't have VMware and valgrind working (this I'll fix soon). - The SPNEGO code is client-only at this point. - We still do not do kerberos. Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 07fd885fd488fd1051eacc905a2d4962f8a018ec)
2007-10-10r1271: Return spoolss enumprinters info level1 from spoolss.ldb - woot!Tim Potter1-2/+2

2007-10-10r1185: Hey look an endpoint for the spoolss pipe!Tim Potter1-1/+11
Doesn't do much at the moment except compile. (This used to be commit ed9c4d7d70041879fa5005222f6cf84af558abef)
2007-10-10r1030: added server side schannel supportAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1

- move to a centralised way of handling talloc/ldb interaction (This used to be commit 2b9b752875ba5e03e82f40e31f26bc1f245b3825)
2007-10-10r1004: continue tridge's work on dcerpc server auth/crypto codeStefan Metzmacher1-0/+1
I made it much more generic, and we should be able to add a module interface to this code, so that other DCERPC_AUTH types can be added via modules... metze (This used to be commit d09abeb686c43c62322205689273d1b417113004)
2007-10-10r995: - renamed many of our crypto routines to use the industry standardAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
names rather than our crazy naming scheme. So DES is now called des_crypt() rather than smbhash() - added the code from the solution of the ADS crypto challenge that allows Samba to correctly handle a 128 bit session key in all of the netr_ServerAuthenticateX() varients. A huge thanks to Luke Howard from PADL for solving this one! - restructured the server side rpc authentication to allow for other than NTLMSSP sign and seal. This commit just adds the structure, the next commit will add schannel server side support. - added 128 bit session key support to our client side code, and testing against w2k3 with smbtorture. Works well. (This used to be commit 729b2f41c924a0b435d44a14209e6dacc2304cee)
2007-10-10r917: - added the start of a LSA server to samba4.Andrew Tridgell1-0/+11
- added start of QueryDomainInfo in samr server "net rpc info" from samba3 now works against a samba4 server. I suspect join will work fairly soon. (This used to be commit 0a2c6a1062d0e364356853001f5f39bdb542f453)
2007-10-10r846: convert DCESRV subsystem to a config.mk fileStefan Metzmacher1-0/+117
