2007-10-10r13903: Don't generate prototypes for modules and binaries in include/proto.h byJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
default. (This used to be commit c80a8f1102caf744b66c13bebde38fba74983dc4)
2007-10-10r12801: Some more include/ cleanups (remove unused macros + move filesJelmer Vernooij1-1/+1
to specific dirs) (This used to be commit 243cf760b077e155f5ac508aeebf819f7708a84e)
2007-10-10r12694: Move some headers to the directory of the subsystem they belong to.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
(This used to be commit c722f665c90103f3ed57621c460e32ad33e7a8a3)
2007-10-10r12620: Get rid of automatically generated lists of init functions of ↵Jelmer Vernooij1-2/+2
subsystems. This allows Samba libraries to be used by other projects (and parts of Samba to be built as shared libraries). (This used to be commit 44f0aba715bfedc7e1ee3d07e9a101a91dbd84b3)
2007-10-10r12551: fixed oplock serialisation problem in gentest as wellAndrew Tridgell1-3/+20
(This used to be commit 2055f978214c1a2732433efe38ebc0fb70ec4e70)
2007-10-10r12531: 'make quicktest' was taking 15 minutes on my system due to failing DNSAndrew Tridgell1-1/+0
lookups in load_interfaces(). The reason was my eth0 interface was down, and it was being interpreted as a DNS name. This patch changes load_interfaces() to happening automatically when interfaces are first needed instead of on the startup of every samba binary. This means that (for example) ldbadd doesn't call load_interfaces(), which means no slow DNS lookups. I also reduced the number of static globals in interface.c to 1, and changed from malloc to talloc When you want to force a reload of the interfaces list, you now call unload_interfaces(), which means the next call that needs the interfaces list will reload it (This used to be commit f79d90bd1364b970adb2981b2572e77066431f1e)
2007-10-10r12499: Move smb_build.h out of includes.hJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
(This used to be commit c92ace494f92084ddf178626cdf392d151043bc7)

(This used to be commit 89039683db4f2f492b292b32e2dd783e977ae165)
2007-10-10r11626: Fix unhandled enum in case statement warnings by noting appropriatelyTim Potter1-0/+8
that some values aren't handled. The remaining warnings I think are actual bugs or required functionality that is missing (mostly lack of server side Unix extensions). (This used to be commit 03c7da27a06736f2a27d76e6a00a24ab54453af9)
2007-10-10r10528: Add credentials.h back into includes.h as some compilers don'tJelmer Vernooij1-1/+0
seem to be able to handle incomplete enum types. (This used to be commit 540155fad3c8e3d79fb631bb3f14273f82130a73)
2007-10-10r10510: Decrease the amount of data included by includes.h a bitJelmer Vernooij1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 03647e1321cf6c9bd6ced3945265f635e9468973)
2007-10-10r10315: Remove use of fstring and pstring in dynconfig.cJelmer Vernooij1-1/+0
Remove unused includes of dynconfig.h (This used to be commit 59083b7ba60d518ddb59646c4fd69938afd079b3)
2007-10-10r8643: - make lp_configfile() work againAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
- get rid of redundeny dyn_CONFIGFILE argument to lp_load() - fixed provisioning to work with completely pristine install, creating an initial smb.conf is none is present - added lp.set() and lp.reload() to loadparm ejs object interface (This used to be commit c2691ef7126ddcee5f95970b78759b40a049d0a7)
2007-10-10r8273: fixed some memory leaks in smbscript. This required convertingAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
file_load() to use talloc, which impacted quite a few bits of code, including our smb.conf processing. took the opportunity to remove the gloabls in params.c while doing this (This used to be commit b220756cb4f1d201ba3e771ca67e4bfae5eae748)
2007-10-10r7704: - fixed open_nbt_connection() to return NULL when the connection failedAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
- got rid of smbcli_shutdown() and use talloc_free() instead. (This used to be commit 1011b1bf51d420d6702ef448c894ea8ebeafa284)
2007-10-10r7633: this patch started as an attempt to make the dcerpc code use a givenAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
event_context for the socket_connect() call, so that when things that use dcerpc are running alongside anything else it doesn't block the whole process during a connect. Then of course I needed to change any code that created a dcerpc connection (such as the auth code) to also take an event context, and anything that called that and so on .... thus the size of the patch. There were 3 places where I punted: - abartlet wanted me to add a gensec_set_event_context() call instead of adding it to the gensec init calls. Andrew, my apologies for not doing this. I didn't do it as adding a new parameter allowed me to catch all the callers with the compiler. Now that its done, we could go back and use gensec_set_event_context() - the ejs code calls auth initialisation, which means it should pass in the event context from the web server. I punted on that. Needs fixing. - I used a NULL event context in dcom_get_pipe(). This is equivalent to what we did already, but should be fixed to use a callers event context. Jelmer, can you think of a clean way to do that? I also cleaned up a couple of things: - libnet_context_destroy() makes no sense. I removed it. - removed some unused vars in various places (This used to be commit 3a3025485bdb8f600ab528c0b4b4eef0c65e3fc9)
2007-10-10r7530: Simply calling convention of lp_load().Andrew Bartlett1-1/+1
This always loads all the services, as we now don't have an easy way to split out smbd. Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 990e061939c76b559c4f5914c5fc6ca1b13e19dd)
2007-10-10r6531: fixed gentest with new credentials codeAndrew Tridgell1-7/+16
(This used to be commit 3e610e3952867658a59424301a6ef0573e0a0c1f)
2007-10-10r6028: A MAJOR update to intergrate the new credentails system fully withAndrew Bartlett1-1/+3
GENSEC, and to pull SCHANNEL into GENSEC, by making it less 'special'. GENSEC now no longer has it's own handling of 'set username' etc, instead it uses cli_credentials calls. In order to link the credentails code right though Samba, a lot of interfaces have changed to remove 'username, domain, password' arguments, and these have been replaced with a single 'struct cli_credentials'. In the session setup code, a new parameter 'workgroup' contains the client/server current workgroup, which seems unrelated to the authentication exchange (it was being filled in from the auth info). This allows in particular kerberos to only call back for passwords when it actually needs to perform the kinit. The kerberos code has been modified not to use the SPNEGO provided 'principal name' (in the mechListMIC), but to instead use the name the host was connected to as. This better matches Microsoft behaviour, is more secure and allows better use of standard kerberos functions. To achieve this, I made changes to our socket code so that the hostname (before name resolution) is now recorded on the socket. In schannel, most of the code from librpc/rpc/dcerpc_schannel.c is now in libcli/auth/schannel.c, and it looks much more like a standard GENSEC module. The actual sign/seal code moved to libcli/auth/schannel_sign.c in a previous commit. The schannel credentails structure is now merged with the rest of the credentails, as many of the values (username, workstation, domain) where already present there. This makes handling this in a generic manner much easier, as there is no longer a custom entry-point. The auth_domain module continues to be developed, but is now just as functional as auth_winbind. The changes here are consequential to the schannel changes. The only removed function at this point is the RPC-LOGIN test (simulating the load of a WinXP login), which needs much more work to clean it up (it contains copies of too much code from all over the torture suite, and I havn't been able to penetrate its 'structure'). Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 2301a4b38a21aa60917973451687063d83d18d66)
2007-10-10r5963: Fix parameter passing for gentest and locktestJelmer Vernooij1-9/+10
(This used to be commit 28914c89dc1400d8364c13258ec0e8558acc7dfd)
2007-10-10r5929: Use cli_credentials for the SMB functions as well.Jelmer Vernooij1-18/+11
Fix a couple of bugs in the new cli_credentials code (This used to be commit 4ad481cfe5cde514d2ef9646147239f3faaa6173)
2007-10-10r5298: - got rid of pstring.h from includes.h. This at least makes it a bitAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
less likely that anyone will use pstring for new code - got rid of winbind_client.h from includes.h. This one triggered a huge change, as winbind_client.h was including system/filesys.h and defining the old uint32 and uint16 types, as well as its own pstring and fstring. (This used to be commit 9db6c79e902ec538108d6b7d3324039aabe1704f)
2007-10-10r5037: got rid of all of the TALLOC_DEPRECATED stuff. My apologies for theAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
large commit. I thought this was worthwhile to get done for consistency. (This used to be commit ec32b22ed5ec224f6324f5e069d15e92e38e15c0)
2007-10-10r4758: - added async support to the session request codeAndrew Tridgell1-5/+6
- added async support to the negprot client code - removed two unused parameters from smbcli_full_connection() code - converted smbclient to use smbcli_full_connection() rather than reinventing everything itself (This used to be commit 71cbe2873473e039b4511511302cb63f1c50bce8)
2007-10-10r4591: - converted the other _p talloc functions to not need _pAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
- added #if TALLOC_DEPRECATED around the _p functions - fixes the code that broke from the above while doing this I fixed quite a number of places that were incorrectly using the non type-safe talloc functions to use the type safe ones. Some were even doing multiplies for array allocation, which is potentially unsafe. (This used to be commit 6e7754abd0c225527fb38363996a6e241b87b37e)
2007-10-10r4549: got rid of a lot more uses of plain talloc(), instead usingAndrew Tridgell1-4/+5
talloc_size() or talloc_array_p() where appropriate. also fixed a memory leak in pvfs_copy_file() (failed to free a memory context) (This used to be commit 89b74b53546e1570b11b3702f40bee58aed8c503)
2007-10-10r4243: a sniff from kukks showed that the ea_set interface in trans2 ↵Andrew Tridgell1-2/+6
setfileinfo allows for multiple EAs to be set at once. This fixes all the ea code to allow for that. (This used to be commit b26828bef5d55e5eef0e34a164e76292df45e207)
2007-10-10r4173: - new t2open code, that can cope with "create with EAs". Many thanksAndrew Tridgell1-3/+3
to kukks on #samba-technical for the sniffs that allowed me to work this out - much simpler ntvfs open generic mapping code - added t2open create with EA torture test to RAW-OPEN test (This used to be commit a56d95ad89b4f32a05974c4fe9a816d67aa369e3)
2007-10-10r4035: more effort on consistent naming of the access mask bits.Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
This removes the duplicate named SEC_RIGHTS_MAXIMUM_ALLOWED and SEC_RIGHTS_FULL_CONTROL, which are just other names for SEC_FLAG_MAXIMUM_ALLOWED and SEC_RIGHTS_FILE_ALL. The latter names match the new naming conventions in security.idl Also added names for the generic->specific mappings for files are directories (This used to be commit 17a4e0b3aca227b40957ed1e0c57e498debc6ddf)
2007-10-10r4011: get rid of rpc_secdes.h and replace it with a single sane set ofAndrew Tridgell1-2/+3
definitions for security access masks, in security.idl The previous definitions were inconsistently named, and contained many duplicate and misleading entries. I kept finding myself tripping up while using them. (This used to be commit 01c0fa722f80ceeb3f81f01987de95f365a2ed3d)
2007-10-10r3633: - moved module init functions to after smb.conf and command lineAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
parsing, so that module init can take account of lp_ parms (thats why gensec:krb5=no wasn't working) - added a BASE-DISCONNECT torture test that tests server response to clients disconnecting with open lock and open requests pending (This used to be commit 5205f598b8c0be6985e61cc842cc5da109ba5b7e)
2007-10-10r3586: Fix some of the issues with the module init functions.Jelmer Vernooij1-0/+2
Both subsystems and modules can now have init functions, which can be specified in .mk files (INIT_FUNCTION = ...) The build system will define : - SUBSYSTEM_init_static_modules that calls the init functions of all statically compiled modules. Failing to load will generate an error which is not fatal - BINARY_init_subsystems that calls the init functions (if defined) for the subsystems the binary depends on This removes the hack with the "static bool Initialised = " and the "lazy_init" functions (This used to be commit 7a8244761bfdfdfb48f8264d76951ebdfbf7bd8a)
2007-10-10r3507: - added deferred replies on sharing violation in pvfs open. TheAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
deferred reply is short-circuited immediately when the file is closed by another user, allowing it to be opened by the waiting user. - added a sane set of timeval manipulation routines - converted all the events code and code that uses it to use struct timeval instead of time_t, which allows for microsecond resolution instead of 1 second resolution. This was needed for doing the pvfs deferred open code, and is why the patch is so big. (This used to be commit 0d51511d408d91eb5f68a35e980e0875299b1831)
2007-10-10r3494: got rid of include/rewrite.h, and split out the dynconfig.h headerAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 558de54ec6432a4ae90aa14a585f32c6cd03ced2)
2007-10-10r3466: split out request.h, signing.h, and smb_server.hAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 7c4e6ebf05790dd6e29896dd316db0fff613aa4e)
2007-10-10r3458: more solaris portability fixes, the main one being that we can't use aAndrew Tridgell1-10/+10
structure element called "open" as its a macro on solaris. (This used to be commit 4e92e15c4e396b1d8cd211192888fea68c2cf0f9)
2007-10-10r3447: more include/system/XXX.h include filesAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
(This used to be commit 264ce9181089922547e8f6f67116f2d7277a5105)
2007-10-10r3441: some include file cleanups and general housekeepingAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 73ea8ee6c268371d05cf74160f2ad451dd2ae699)
2007-10-10r3419: moved the libcli/raw structures into libcli/raw/libcliraw.hAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
and made them private (This used to be commit 386ac565c452ede1d74e06acb401ca9db99d3ff3)
2007-10-10r2710: continue with the new style of providing a parent context wheneverAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
possible to a structure creation routine. This makes for much easier global cleanup. (This used to be commit e14ee428ec357fab76a960387a9820a673786e27)
2007-10-10r2062: Fix a couple more of the printf warnings (real bugs).Andrew Bartlett1-1/+1
You should never pass a non-constant string as a format for a printf() function - it could contain printf macros, and these need to be checked. Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit 183622c9f4dfe858564bbcb8c1a930d69b37f7fa)
2007-10-10r1676: - improved the handling of username/password in locktest and gentestAndrew Tridgell1-2/+6
- use lp_maxprotocol() in the libcli/raw/ negotiate code, so we obey the smb.conf "max protocol" option - better handling of -M option in masktest (This used to be commit 8685a584c92ab73a35b29a8c719f1ec207562837)
2007-10-10r1654: rename cli_ -> smbcli_Stefan Metzmacher1-24/+24
rename CLI_ -> SMBCLI_ metze (This used to be commit 8441750fd9427dd6fe477f27e603821b4026f038)
2007-10-10r1578: the first stage of the async client rewrite.Andrew Tridgell1-15/+4
Up to now the client code has had an async API, and operated asynchronously at the packet level, but was not truly async in that it assumed that it could always write to the socket and when a partial packet came in that it could block waiting for the rest of the packet. This change makes the SMB client library full async, by adding a separate outgoing packet queue, using non-blocking socket IO and having a input buffer that can fill asynchonously until the full packet has arrived. The main complexity was in dealing with the events structure when using the CIFS proxy backend. In that case the same events structure needs to be used in both the client library and the main smbd server, so that when the client library is waiting for a reply that the main server keeps processing packets. This required some changes in the events library code. Next step is to make the generated rpc client code use these new capabilities. (This used to be commit 96bf4da3edc4d64b0f58ef520269f3b385b8da02)
2007-10-10r1547: rename 'enum <bla>_level' -> 'enum smb_<bla>_level'Stefan Metzmacher1-2/+2
e.g. we now have 'union smb_mkdir' and 'enum smb_mkdir_level' in sync we may should also rename 'RAW_MKDIR_*' -> 'SMB_MKDIR_*' metze (This used to be commit 0bb50dcf1ccb9797000fcbea4d8a73f2d2a3db77)
2007-10-10r890: convert samba4 to use [u]int8_t instead of [u]int8Stefan Metzmacher1-3/+3
metze (This used to be commit 2986c5f08c8f0c26a2ea7b6ce20aae025183109f)
2007-10-10r889: convert samba4 to use [u]int16_t instead of [u]int16Stefan Metzmacher1-23/+23
metze (This used to be commit af6f1f8a01bebbecd99bc8c066519e89966e65e3)
2007-10-10r884: convert samba4 to use [u]int32_t instead of [u]int32Stefan Metzmacher1-8/+8
metze (This used to be commit 0e5517d937a2eb7cf707991d1c7498c1ab456095)
2007-10-10r873: converted samba4 to use real 64 bit integers instead ofAndrew Tridgell1-4/+4
structures. This was suggested by metze recently. I checked on the build farm and all the machines we have support 64 bit ints, and support the LL suffix for 64 bit constants. I suspect some won't support strtoll() and related functions, so we will probably need replacements for those. (This used to be commit 9a9244a1c66654c12abe4379661cba83a73c4c21)
2004-03-25fixed the handling of level II oplocks in samba4, especially whenAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
acting as a cifs redirectory (using the cifs backend) (This used to be commit 06a8100e6a2f3f079af5b6ec32d87d1d25f56c3c)
