2007-10-10r19339: Merge my 4.0-unittest branch. This adds an API for more fine-grainedJelmer Vernooij1-22/+25
output in the testsuite rather than just True or False for a set of tests. The aim is to use this for: * known failure lists (run all tests and detect tests that started working or started failing). This would allow us to get rid of the RPC-SAMBA3-* tests * nicer torture output * simplification of the testsuite system * compatibility with other unit testing systems * easier usage of smbtorture (being able to run one test and automatically set up the environment for that) This is still a work-in-progress; expect more updates over the next couple of days. (This used to be commit 0eb6097305776325c75081356309115f445a7218)
2007-10-10r16328: Wrap all existing tests in simple single-function testsuites.Jelmer Vernooij1-4/+3
(This used to be commit 7e811adf59841936b7e634fca4e95630f890c5af)
2007-10-10r16304: Improve testing UI API. This now allows registering the fullJelmer Vernooij1-4/+10
test suite tree, looks a bit more like other unit testing API's, fixes some memory responsibility issues, introduces testcases, and removes the need for tests to call torture_ok(). (This used to be commit 0445b1a56a02552f895f400960b9ced39244a144)
2007-10-10r16164: Convert to UI APIJelmer Vernooij1-19/+14
(This used to be commit 5cd95ec885cb0ffd5b40f53a5a0193388ec5fc6a)
2007-10-10r14720: Add torture_context argument to all torture testsJelmer Vernooij1-1/+2
(This used to be commit 3c7a5ce29108dd82210dc3e1f00414f545949e1d)
2007-10-10r8520: fixed a pile of warnings from the build farm gcc -Wall output onAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
S390. This is an attempt to avoid the panic we're seeing in the automatic builds. The main fixes are: - assumptions that sizeof(size_t) == sizeof(int), mostly in printf formats - use of NULL format statements to perform dn searches. - assumption that sizeof() returns an int (This used to be commit a58ea6b3854973b694d2b1e22323ed7eb00e3a3f)
2007-10-10r4591: - converted the other _p talloc functions to not need _pAndrew Tridgell1-2/+2
- added #if TALLOC_DEPRECATED around the _p functions - fixes the code that broke from the above while doing this I fixed quite a number of places that were incorrectly using the non type-safe talloc functions to use the type safe ones. Some were even doing multiplies for array allocation, which is potentially unsafe. (This used to be commit 6e7754abd0c225527fb38363996a6e241b87b37e)
2007-10-10r4547: - added talloc_new(ctx) macro that is a neater form of the common ↵Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
talloc(ctx, 0) call. - cleaned up some talloc usage in various files I'd like to get to the point that we have no calls to talloc(), at which point we will rename talloc_p() to talloc(), to encourage everyone to use the typesafe functions. (This used to be commit e6c81d7c9f8a6938947d3c1c8a971a0d6d50b67a)
2007-10-10r3324: made the smbtorture code completely warning freeAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 7067bb9b52223cafa28470f264f0b60646a07a01)
2007-10-10r3130: - added a LOCAL-IDTREE test suiteAndrew Tridgell1-0/+100
- made idtree return a "struct idr_context *" instead of a void* - more efficient idr_remove for ids that are not present (patch from Jim Houston) (This used to be commit f8d12d4b4ae5a38de7869deb782cb8f48504844c)
