2007-10-10r10569: add all info that we have to wrepl_name, as we need it for ↵Stefan Metzmacher1-2/+5
replication :-) metze (This used to be commit bfd548ca10134d5a17b87a0507917721aa251223)
2007-10-10r10491: First step towards wbinfo -t: This issues a name request for the primaryVolker Lendecke1-1/+2
domain and gets the DC's name via a mailslot call. Metze, I renamed wbsrv_queue_reply to wbsrv_send_reply in accordance with irpc_send_reply. Having _queue_ here and _send_ there is a bit confusing. And as everything is async anyway, the semantics should not be too much of a problem. Volker (This used to be commit 4637964b19c6e9f7d201b287e2d409d029fced01)
2007-10-10r10486: This is a merge of Brad Henry's 'net join' rework, to better performAndrew Bartlett1-1/+1
an ADS join, particularly as a DC. This represents the bulk of his Google SOC work, and I'm very pleased to intergrate it into the tree. (Metze will intergrate the DRSUAPI work later). Both metze and myself have also put a lot of time into this patch, and in mentoring Brad in general. In return, Brad has been a very good student, and has taken the comments well. Since it's last appearance on samba-technical@, I have made correctness and valgrind fixups, as well as adding a new 'BINDING' mode to the libnet_rpc routines. This allows the exact binding string to be passed down from the torture code, including options and exact target host. Andrew Bartlett (This used to be commit d6fa105fdabbeb83a9b0e50dad49d1649afdb2a4)
2007-10-10r10167: add a test to check if we always get the same assoc_ctx, on one ↵Stefan Metzmacher1-2/+47
connection. metze (This used to be commit 589541b7402506422e8a85a857ea48910b24f2d6)
2007-10-10r10164: - add first assoc_ctx testStefan Metzmacher1-2/+80
- handle the case where we're no valid pull partner of the tested server metze (This used to be commit d2e62dc205dd450ce57b9566c29e82878eb8471b)
2007-10-10r10113: rename libcli/wins to libcli/wreplStefan Metzmacher1-1/+1
metze (This used to be commit d8b84112bb40605b07a77ab5f7a44ac1807ccc59)
2007-10-10r9792: Rename StrCaseCmp -> strcasecmp_m. All these years I was thinkingJelmer Vernooij2-2/+2
StrCaseCmp was sys_strcasecmp, while it is in fact strcasecmp_m! (This used to be commit 200a8f6652cb2de7a8037a7a4c2a204b50aee2b1)
2007-10-10r9702: r9680@blu: tridge | 2005-08-27 18:45:08 +1000Andrew Tridgell6-6/+6
- fixed ncacn_ip_tcp to use the generic async name resolution methods, so NBT names now work (as requested several times by abartlet!) - changed resolve_name() to take an event_context, so it doesn't cause the whole process to block - cleaned up the talloc_find_parent_bytype() calls to go via a cleaner event_context_find() call (This used to be commit b3d491b210a8b889a25efcb273e70fefbd01b7f7)
2007-10-10r8520: fixed a pile of warnings from the build farm gcc -Wall output onAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
S390. This is an attempt to avoid the panic we're seeing in the automatic builds. The main fixes are: - assumptions that sizeof(size_t) == sizeof(int), mostly in printf formats - use of NULL format statements to perform dn searches. - assumption that sizeof() returns an int (This used to be commit a58ea6b3854973b694d2b1e22323ed7eb00e3a3f)
2007-10-10r6933: Add a couple of helper functions for creating nbt names.Tim Potter6-25/+8
(This used to be commit b896daf11c3efb1b3ca939575da9dab82b395777)
2007-10-10r6338: ADS style GETDC response now works well enough that WinXP can joinAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
Samba4 without Samba3 nmbd (This used to be commit f4d07d7d3b6973b503d8c98f177471dd6cebfa92)
2007-10-10r6331: added IDL and test suite for the ADS style response to a datagram ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+63
netlogon query. Note that this response is almost identical to the CLDAP netlogon response, so adding that will now be quite easy. (This used to be commit 1ea4ed4ad1d9336f8288283688fa2d7bebfa533c)
2007-10-10r6321: added IDL and test suite for NBT dgram 'sam logon' request (sent byAndrew Tridgell1-2/+110
clients when a user tries to login) (This used to be commit 08ded62156b387457bc56b5910e1ddc813b375bd)
2007-10-10r6288: the nbt dgram server now responds to GETDC requests. It works with ourAndrew Tridgell1-1/+2
test suite, but doesn't yet seem to satisfy a nt4 client. I'm investigating. (This used to be commit 406217262dff5adb5d0cb0028198e08f66cc85f4)
2007-10-10r6247: added the server side code for receiving mailslot requests, andAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
parsing incoming netlogon requests. No replies are sent yet. (This used to be commit 3b34df6a674cd2aeddc354cdadae3f0e1c000d45)
2007-10-10r6246: stop waiting when we get a replyAndrew Tridgell1-3/+6
(This used to be commit 8b9a5d8336da43619fc1ea8f081d5ade98f0599b)
2007-10-10r6245: receive and parse the GETDC response in the NBT-DGRAM test. The testAndrew Tridgell1-1/+21
now tries to bind to port 138 if possible, so if you run it as root and smbd/nmbd is not running then it works against windows servers (This used to be commit 52ccdb79bc922be52c24dd393323dbbee83a2aea)
2007-10-10r6223: added a bit more datagram infrastructure and the beginnings of a testAndrew Tridgell1-0/+124
suite. The NBT-DGRAM test does a UDP/138 netlogon request, to which a windows server sends a reply, but the windows server sends the reply to the wrong port (it always sends to 138), so the test suite doesn't see it. (This used to be commit a7634625dbc944dd8256a822be290010f341a571)
2007-10-10r5451: - added separate wrepl_associate(), wrepl_pull_table() and ↵Andrew Tridgell1-87/+27
wrepl_pull_names() functions, with reasonable parameters, so callers don't need to deal directly with wins replication packet structures - converted the NBT-WINSREPLICATION torture test to use the new APIs (This used to be commit cec1672662b7e5b1bdf843e9dee317aa4b03f719)
2007-10-10r5416: nicer output when trying to replicate with a server that hasn't been ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+6
setup as a partner (This used to be commit b94301b357801767e65e19be5d9464c58ecf621e)
2007-10-10r5415: added a NBT-WINSREPLICATION torture test. It asks the server for theAndrew Tridgell1-0/+199
list of partners, and for each partner dumps the complete list of names (This used to be commit dacf5f166a0d5a7bc1d96e730748811c9f47bba6)
2007-10-10r5411: make network interface selection a bit sanerAndrew Tridgell3-4/+4
- if we have no configured network interfaces, then don't start nbtd (when I add dynamic interface loading this will change to a delay until a network interface comes up) - choose the best interface by netmask for torture tests that need a specific IP (such as the WINS test). Added iface_best_ip() for that. - if specific interfaces are chosen in smb.conf, then keep that ordering, and default to the first one listed (This used to be commit 4d08c114079ef6d1d10a96195046fe43631aefa2)
2007-10-10r5408: - added testing for the behaviour of the special 0x1c nameAndrew Tridgell2-4/+11
- added WINS server support for the 0x1c name (This used to be commit 1558a545285ae0432c70e0a3e2b132a5132e7b3b)
2007-10-10r5403: a simple WINS benchmarking programAndrew Tridgell1-0/+297
(This used to be commit d0f8b5bc6d64688cf9ad19d203d173ad2735f001)
2007-10-10r5397: added testing and server support for the special handling required ↵Andrew Tridgell1-1/+14
for the 0x1d local master browser name in WINS (This used to be commit 2650b43ca903fb478d2943fa9bbdba8b2bf74966)
2007-10-10r5386: added testing of registration of group namesAndrew Tridgell1-24/+54
(This used to be commit 8afe4bd59916f9cc6b8eacd4668f93eb3b736839)
2007-10-10r5352: added a function nbt_name_string() that formats a nbt_name structureAndrew Tridgell1-5/+2
as a human readable string. The format is designed to be able to be used as the DN for the WINS database as well, while coping with arbitrary bytes in the name (except nul bytes) (This used to be commit aac3090e3504ba07124a9d480322a98efb97175e)
2007-10-10r5347: fixed the NBT-REGISTER test now that the nbt layer is case sensitiveAndrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit ae514f076298caeb8a84d47939c4e51f9ab5b6ce)
2007-10-10r5333: weird, w2k3 always sends a positive name release response, even for ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+22
names that have never been registered. I wonder if there is some reason? (This used to be commit dbef4fd5c3ae06e22fa6120a57edc0d2988a49a1)
2007-10-10r5328: - allow case sensitive nbt name lookupsAndrew Tridgell1-0/+40
- added --case-sensitive option to nmblookup - added case sensitivity tests to the NBT-WINS test (This used to be commit 80a95d5688e055b36727e5c043cb36322d719763)
2007-10-10r5325: - expanded the NBT-WINS test to include scopesAndrew Tridgell1-21/+58
- fixed the bugs that the new test found (This used to be commit 6d775f12168d51ce92a3f7e17f4bf06357d41a06)
2007-10-10r5304: removed lib/socket/socket.h from includes.hAndrew Tridgell2-0/+2
(This used to be commit b902ea546d2d1327b23f40ddaeeaa8e7e3662454)
2007-10-10r5294: - added a separate NBT-WINS test for WINS operations (register, ↵Andrew Tridgell2-72/+229
refresh, release and query) - change the iface_n_*() functions to return a "const char *" instead of a "struct ipv4_addr" I think that in general we should move towards "const char *" for all IP addresses, as this makes IPv6 much easier, and is also easier to debug. Andrew, when you get a chance, could you fix some of the auth code to use strings for IPs ? - return a NTSTATUS error on bad name queries and node status instead of using rcode. This makes the calling code simpler. - added low level name release code in libcli/nbt/ - use a real IP in the register and wins nbt torture tests, as w2k3 WINS server silently rejects some operations that don't come from the IP being used (eg. it says "yes" to a release, but does not in fact release the name) (This used to be commit bb1ab11d8e0ea0bd9ae34aebeb565d36fe4b495f)
2007-10-10r5277: initialise the multi_homed flag in the name registration testAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
(This used to be commit d51fcee29a8d8bf253b3a6d0b7b741f9b55af94a)
2007-10-10r5252: - fixed nmblookup for the nbt api changesAndrew Tridgell1-0/+68
- added a simple WINS server name registration and query test (This used to be commit d56e68ebf584e50aa409d22b1ca7c9276abea962)
2007-10-10r5197: moved events code to lib/events/ (suggestion from metze)Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
(This used to be commit 7f54c8a339f36aa43c9340be70ab7f0067593ef2)
2007-10-10r5195: most events don't need the time of the event, so save a ↵Andrew Tridgell1-1/+1
gettimeofday() call and just use timeval_current() when its actually needed (This used to be commit 236403cc4dc2924ed6a898acae0bb44cc1688dcc)
2007-10-10r5185: make all the events data structures private to events.c. This willAndrew Tridgell1-0/+1
make it possible to add optimisations to the events code such as keeping the next timed event in a sorted list, and using epoll for file descriptor events. I also removed the loop events code, as it wasn't being used anywhere, and changed timed events to always be one-shot (as adding a new timed event in the event handler is so easy to do if needed) (This used to be commit d7b4b6de51342a65bf46fce772d313f92f8d73d3)
2007-10-10r5156: started on test driven development of the nbt server. This adds aAndrew Tridgell1-0/+174
NBT-REGISTER test that tests that a server correctly defends its name against broadcast name registrations. Jeremy, you might like to look at this. Samba3 nmbd fails to respond. (This used to be commit bb1298a2eb192ec2cd547a299334cc82a63a5acc)
2007-10-10r5130: added a single NBT name query benchmark. It keeps 10 queries in ↵Andrew Tridgell1-0/+130
flight at a time. (This used to be commit 2d23c665ffda7619dc9b9c2dbcbc422b0854998c)
