It was mentioned in the manpages, but not accepted by the API
2013-05-03dyndns: new option dyndns_authJakub Hrozek1-0/+1
This options is mostly provided for future expansion. Currently it is undocumented and both IPA and AD dynamic DNS updates default to GSS-TSIG. Allowed values are GSS-TSIG and none.
2013-05-03dyndns: new option dyndns_force_tcpJakub Hrozek1-0/+1
https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1831 Adds a new option that can be used to force nsupdate to only use TCP to communicate with the DNS server.
2013-05-03dyndns: New option dyndns_update_ptrJakub Hrozek1-0/+1
https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1832 While some servers, such as FreeIPA allow the PTR record to be synchronized when the forward record is updated, other servers, including Active Directory, require that the PTR record is synchronized manually. This patch adds a new option, dyndns_update_ptr that automatically generates appropriate DNS update message for updating the reverse zone. This option is off by default in the IPA provider. Also renames be_nsupdate_create_msg to be_nsupdate_create_fwd_msg
2013-05-03dyndns: new option dyndns_refresh_intervalJakub Hrozek1-0/+1
This new options adds the possibility of updating the DNS entries periodically regardless if they have changed or not. This feature will be useful mainly in AD environments where the Windows clients periodically update their DNS records.
2013-05-03Convert IPA-specific options to be back-end agnosticJakub Hrozek1-0/+5
This patch introduces new options for dynamic DNS updates that are not specific to any back end. The current ipa dyndns options are still usable, just with a deprecation warning.

2012-07-20NSS: Add override_shell optionStephen Gallagher1-0/+2
If override_shell is specified in the [nss] section, all users managed by SSSD will have their shell set to this value. If it is specified in the [domain/DOMAINNAME] section, it will apply to only that domain (and override the [nss] value, if any). https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1087
2012-07-10pac responder: limit access by checking UIDsSumit Bose1-0/+4
A check for allowed UIDs is added in the common responder code directly after accept(). If the platform does not support reading the UID of the peer but allowed UIDs are configured, access is denied. Currently only the PAC responder sets the allowed UIDs for a socket. The default is that only root is allowed to access the socket of the PAC responder. Fixes: https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1382

2012-05-09NSS: Add default_shell optionStephen Gallagher1-0/+1
This option will allow administrators to set a default shell to be used if a user does not have one set in the identity provider. https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1289
2012-05-09NSS: Add fallback_homedir optionStephen Gallagher1-0/+2
This option is similar to override_homedir, except that it will take effect only for users that do not have an explicit home directory specified in LDAP. https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1250
2012-05-04Modify behavior of pam_pwd_expiration_warningJan Zeleny1-0/+1
New option pwd_expiration_warning is introduced which can be set per domain and can override the value specified by the original pam_pwd_expiration_warning. If the value of expiration warning is set to zero, the filter isn't apllied at all - if backend server returns the warning, it will be automatically displayed. Default value for Kerberos: 7 days Default value for LDAP: don't apply the filter Technical note: default value when creating the domain is -1. This is important so we can distinguish between "no value set" and 0. Without this possibility it would be impossible to set different values for LDAP and Kerberos provider.

2012-02-17RESPONDERS: Make the fd_limit setting configurableStephen Gallagher1-0/+1
This code will now attempt first to see if it has privilege to set the value as specified, and if not it will fall back to the previous behavior. So on systems with the CAP_SYS_RESOURCE capability granted to SSSD, it will be able to ignore the limits.conf hard limit. https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/1197

2011-04-25Configuration parsing updatesJan Zeleny1-2/+2
These changes are all related to following ticket: https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/763 Changes in SSSDConfig.py merge old and new domain record instead of just deleting the old and inserting the new one. The old approach let to loss of some information like comments and blank lines in the config file. Changes in API config were performed so our Python scripts (like sss_obfuscate) don't add extra config options to the config file.
2011-01-19Add pam_pwd_expiration_warning config optionSumit Bose1-0/+1
2011-01-17Do not force a default for debug_levelStephen Gallagher1-1/+1
2010-12-22Update the ID cache for any PAM requestStephen Gallagher1-0/+1
Also adds an option to limit how often we check the ID provider, so that conversations with multiple PAM requests won't update the cache multiple times. https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/749
2010-11-15Introduce pam_verbosity config optionSumit Bose1-0/+1
Currently we display all PAM messages generated by sssd to the user. But only some of them are important and others are just some useful information. This patch introduces a new option to the PAM responder which controls what kind of messages are displayed. As an example the 'Authenticated with cached credentials' message is used. This message is only displayed if pam_verbosity=1 or if there is an expire date.
2010-06-30Add dns_discovery_domain optionJakub Hrozek1-0/+1
The service discovery used to use the SSSD domain name to perform DNS queries. This is not an optimal solution, for example from the point of view of authconfig. This patch introduces a new option "dns_discovery_domain" that allows to set the domain part of a DNS SRV query. If this option is not set, the default behavior is to use the domain part of the machine's hostname. Fixes: #479
2010-06-09Change default min_id to 1Stephen Gallagher1-1/+1
Also update manpage for min_id/max_id to be more clear about how it relates to primary GID.
2010-04-30Add dns_resolver_timeout optionStephen Gallagher1-0/+1
We had a hard-coded timeout of five seconds for DNS lookups in the async resolver. This patch adds an option 'dns_resolver_timeout' to specify this value (Default: 5)
2010-03-08Make filter_users and filter_groups also per-domainJakub Hrozek1-0/+2
Fixes: #290
